Anchored on the CSC Program on Au'ards and Incentives for Sen'ice Excellence (PRAISE), and
CALABARZON Search for Treasured Achievers in the Region (C-STAR), the Department of Education
Region IV-CALABARZON announces the 2O16 CALABARZON GAWAD PATNUCTOT.
This program sha1l recognize and reward the exemplary contribution of the Region's human
resources teachers, instructional leaders, and non-teaching personnel who have brought tronor to
their workplace- the Schools Division Offices iSDOs) resulting to work efficiency and organizational
productivity. This program shall also give recognition to schools and SDOs that put premium on
deliverir.rg quality basic education services through effective and transparent implementation of
School-Based and SDO's Programs and Projects.
The awards categories are:

ln support to the Civil Service Commission Resolution No. 010112 and CSC Mc No. 01, s. 2001, the
Department of Education created it own award system anchored on the csc Program on Awards and
lncentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) as stated in DepEd Order No, 9 s. 2009 rer Establishing the PRAISE
in the Department of Education. The Department of Education Region IV-CALABARZON adopts the DepEd
PRAISE and translates through the CALABARZON GAWAD PATNUGoI.
It is a regional program on rerlards and recognition that recognizes the exemplary performance of
teache.s (C-sTAR), instructional leaders, non-teaching personnel who have brought honor to their place of
work (division), to the region and to the nation as whole. lt also gives recognition to Schools Division Offices
(SDOs) and schools that made difference on the educational landscape through effective school-based
Programs and projects.

MECHANICS
The Assistant Regional Director, as chair shall organize a selection committee
for
each
category consisting of Chiefs, Team Leaders/Unit Heads'from different teams/ units and
Education Program Supervisors at the region as members.
Each school division shall submit one (1) official nominee per category for the Gawad
Patnugot who will undergo final evaluation and interview by the Regional Panel of
Judges.
