English Grammar Tips for Error Spotting
About Error Spotting:
It is natural to every people, who make errors commonly.
Most of the errors are by cross-association, and while we learning English the
mistakes made by people are unavoidable
Spotting error is a common test and forms of almost all the important examinations.
Spotting Errors brings an awareness of the basic rule of grammar, Parts of speech,
noun, pronoun, adjective, adverb, and preposition.
There are also many practical tips to make the sentence to be correct without errors
The most heartening thing is that there is no error that is not to be removed
The errors committed by people got the reason that, we forget the correct grammar,
or carelessness.
The best guarantee of avoiding mistake is to be use the correct part of English.

Examples:
1.) It is a University built on the federal principle.
Answer: It is an University built on the federal principle
Explanation: The first sound of the word next to the article is that of a consonant
pronounced as U.
2.) Give me a hour and I will finish all your work
Answer: Give me an hour and I will finish all your work.
Explanation: Since hour is pronounced with an initial vowel sound
3.) She is a M.A. in English
Answer: She is an M.A. in English
Explanation: M is pronounced with an initial vowel sound as in am.

4.) Moon is shining in the sky
Answer: The moon is shining in the sky
Explanation: This sentence is about definite nouns.
5.) Telephone is a useful instrument.
Answer: The telephone is a useful instrument.
Explanation: The nouns are intended.
6.) We have much sugar left in the bowl.
Answer: We dont have much sugar left in the bowl.
Explanation: Much as a determiner is used only in negative sentences which expect
negative answers. Of course, much is used only before uncountable nouns.
7.) There is few information I can give you.
Answer: There is little information I can give you.
Explanation: Few cannot be used with uncountable nouns
8.) I could meet the class as there were few students in it.
Answer: I could not have met the class as there were few students in it.
Explanation: Few is negative, a few is positive.
9.) His both brothers are doctors.
Answer: Both his brothers are doctors.
Explanation: Both always precedes determines like the definite article

Answer: Both the girls are singers.
Explanation: Both always precedes determines like the definite article
11.) Of the two students, the one from Nepal is the best.
Answer: Of the two students, the one from Nepal is the better.
Explanation: Instead of best, the word better can be used.

Answer: There is no sugar in the bowl

Explanation: Some are expressions of quantity, but some is used in negative contacts
and also in questions

Explanation: Same can be followed either by as or that, while such is followed only by
as.

Explanation: Changing this to indirect speech

Explanation: In the perfect tense since is used
