The construction principle of the

CORCAST reels is phenomenal
the larger the diameter of the
spool, the longer the casts and
the lessthe line twists. A further
advantage: the drag function is
positively influenced by larger
diameter when fighting the fish
the line runs even more smoothly
from the spool. This is especially
important with thinner, monofile
and braided lines, which do not
stretch. But beside the longer
casts and the better drag function are following impacts of this
construction principle pathbreaking. You can fix a gear with a
smaller gear ratio on it and reach
the same speed of the lure just
like with usual spinning spools,
due to the larger spool diameter.
You have to know, that the smaller the gear ratio the stronger the
winding power of the reel while
fighting the fish and the longer is
the lifetime of the gearing. With
the CORCAST reels and their
low gear ratio, we succeeded in
aperfect way.

You can cope with any changing situation when fighting the fish the integrated WRFD
fighting dragcan be adjustedwithin secondswith only the move of one finger. The fast and
reliable function of the fighting drag is an important advantage when fighting the dream fish.
Once you experienced the benefits, you never want to miss them again.
The patented WRFD (Wide Range Fighting Drag) fighting drag of the FBI has such a large adjustment range, that the reel can even be
usded similarto afree spool reel. Both the fighting drag is a highlight as well as the whole reel, that is also available as FBI-4PiSW-a special
saltwater version.
Normal setting
Push the fighting drag lever to

the middle position and adjust the
drag with the drag knob according
to theline.
Turn the fighting drag to the left
The drag power decreases as
further you turn it.
Turn the fighting drag to the right
The drag power increasesthe
further you turn it.
HighPower setting
Push the fighting drag lever totally

to the right and turn the drag knob
as far to the right position until the
spool almost cant be turned.
This setting is used when fished
with closed drag (with soft plastic
lure) or for fishing for eel.
Fighting drag turned to the left
position
The drag power is decreased
immediatly for fighting bigger fish
on the limit.
LowPower setting
Push the fighting drag lever to

the left of the the middle position
and adjust the drag with the drag
knob. This setting is used when
fished with rather open drag and
the drag power shall be increased.
Turning the fighting drag to the left
The drag power slightly
decreases .
Turning the fighting drag to the
right
The further ist is turned to the
right, thestronger the drag power
is increased.
