3. Notes
a) Radios are in all AFV and other PHQ.
b) Infantry have 63x M72A1 or Pzf-44 disposable LAW per Battalion. Engineers may
have 1-3x HAFLA35 disposable incendiery rockets per squad.
c) The Panzer Brigades have two Panzer Battalions, one Panzer Grenadier
Battalion, and in wartime, one Composite Panzer Battalion.
d) Each Panzer Grenadier platoon has 3x 84mm S.550 Carl Gustav with illumination
rounds only. These were usually left at base.
e) Jeeps are Iltis, trucks are Unimog.
f) Kanone AOP is not available until 1987. M548 Skorpion minelayers are not
available until 1985.
g) Tanks are:

h) During the late 1980s the Leopard 2, 2A1, 2A2, 2A3 were upgraded to 2A4 standard.
i) 105mm L7 guns have DM23 FSAPDS, DM23A1 from 1983, DM33 from 1984,
and DM128 from 1985.
j) 120mm smoothbore has DM13 FSAPDS, DM23 from 1983, and DM33 from 1987.
k) M48 AVLB are in 12th, 18th and 36th Panzer Brigades.
l) Marder is 1A1 with IINF. From 1984 Marder 1A2 with TI comes into service, all
converted by 1989. From 1990 Marder 1A3 with extra armour and Milan-2 enter
service.
