CV FILLIING INSTRUCTIONS

PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW THIS CV FILLING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.


CV should be in .docx format only NOT .doc/ PDF/ read-only.
Since the CVs of the entire students should have similarity, please dont use
capital letters, bold letters, underline, Italics, any other font, email ID, mobile no.,
photo, etc.
Students who are on sabbatical leave are NOT allowed to participate in the
Campus Summer & Final placement process. However, they have to send and
verify the CVs for Short Term Project/ B-School Competition/ events, processes.

PLEASE DONT TAMPER THE CV TEMPLATE, PAGE SET UP,


FONT, etc., at any reason.

The heading and the sequence should be same as given in the CV


template.
If any of the section/ heading is NOT APPLICABLE, please delete such
sections from the provided CV template. Rest everything should be there
ACCORDING TO THE SEQUENCES as per template provided.
Students are supposed to do their 2 months/ 5 months Summer Training in one
single company as multiple Internships are not allowed.

CV should be in maximum 2 pages only.

Font: Tahoma.

Font Size: 8/ 9 points to fit the CV in 2 pages.

Capital letters, Bold, italics, underline, email ID, Mob. No., photo, etc. are not allowed in the
CV.

Date of Birth: If Date of Birth is 1.1.1980, it should be written as 01st January, 1980

The heading and the sequence should be same as given in the template. (DO NOT
TAMPER THE CV TEMPLATE. DONT CHANGE THE PAGE SET UP, FONT, ETC.).
If any of the section/ heading is NOT APPLICABLE, please delete such sections from the
provided CV template. Rest everything should be there ACCORDING TO THE
SEQUENCES as per template provided.

IMT Post-Graduation is NOT required to mention in this Summer Training CV.

Duly filled in CV as per attached CV Template should be saved as in your individual Roll
Number (like 16FN-xxx, 16FT-xxx, 16MKT-xxx, etc.)

Mention your Roll No. in the HEADER of your CV (like 16FN-xxx, 16FT-xxx, 16MKTxxx, etc.)

Calculation of the percentage marks:


For 10th:

If ICSE Board Best of 5 subjects marks including English.

If CBSE Board - Best of 5 subjects including English (if 6 or more subjects,


exclude addl. subject/ optional subjects).
For other boards :

i. If % of marks given in the mark list, it is to be mentioned.


ii. If grant total of obtained marks and max. marks given in the mark list, calculate the %
accordingly.

iii. If any of the above is not applicable, calculate the marks according to the respective
board rule subject to the proof of board rules.
iv. Rounding-off the marks NOT allowed.
For 12th:

If ISC Board Best of 4 subjects marks including English.

If CBSE Board - Best of 5 subjects including English (if 6 or more subjects,


exclude addl. subject/ optional subjects).

For other boards :

i. If % of marks given in the mark list, it is to be considered.


ii. If grant total of obtained marks and max. marks given in the mark list, calculate the %
accordingly.

iii. If any of the above is not applicable, calculate the marks according to the respective
board rule subject to the proof of board rules.

iv. Rounding-off the marks NOT allowed.


Calculation of Graduation/ Post Graduation % of marks (% should be mentioned NOT
CGPA)
Degree & specialization [like, B. Tech (CSE), B.Com (Hons.), BBA (Finance)] should be
mentioned in the column of the Degree under the head Qualification in Education.
Those students, who got their marks in CGPA/ DGPA during their Graduation/ Post
Graduation (otherthan IMT), they are required to get the % (percentage) conversion formula
rule (certificate) in writing from their respective College/ University as we have to mention
the % of marks in the Batch profile/ CV not CGPA/ DGPA. Please note that each College/
University have their own % coversion formula.
If any % (percentage) conversion formula (rule) is not applicable to any College/
University, please get such written certificate from the concerned College/ University.

% of marks to be calculated according to the respective college/ University rules, subject


to the proof of college/ university rules only. If Total mark and obtained mark is
mentioned in the marklist, it can be calculated accordingly.
If the mark is in CGPA, it should be converted into % according to the respective
college/ University rules, subject to the proof of college/ university rules.
Rounding-off the marks NOT allowed.

If final year mark sheet is not available, please mention the percentage in the respective
column as under:CGPA/ % of marks
50% till 2nd year/ 6th/ 7th semester
Till last year, the CGPA conversion formula into percentage (%) of marks for the
following Universities is as under. If there is any change, please get corresponding
conversion certificate from the University/ College for the verification of your marks.
The students themselves are responsible for having the right conversion factor/
formula and the Placement Committee does not bear any responsibility for any
discrepancy of the same during the background verification process of the respective
organization after being placed.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
If it is not applicable, please delete the entire section from the CV template.
Work experience should have relevant documents i.e. proper appointment letter and
relieving letter for its verification, otherwise it will not be allowed to mention in the CV.
If you have the work experience of more than 1 company, please copy & paste the entire
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE section again and fill up the same accordingly for each
work experience.
Part-time work experience is not considered as Professional Experience, it can be mentioned
in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION.

Summer Internship CANNOT be treated as work experience; hence, it


CANNOT be mentioned under the head Work Experience.
ABOUT THE COMPANY OPTIONAL (if it is not applicable, that row can be deleted).
Rest everything is compulsory including ABOUT THE ROLE in that section as per CV
template provided.
Please note that no further changes in work experience will be allowed on producing any
documents later. The work experience details in this CV would remain unchanged even for
final placement CV.

Work experience criteria during sign-ups for placement processes:


1. Minimum of 20 days should be required for considering an additional month work
exp. as less than 20 days will not be considered as an additional month exp. For
example, a student who has less than 20-days work exp. will consider as 0 work
exp. and 20 30/ 31 days will consider as 1-month work exp.
2. Similarly, a student who has 1 month and less than 20-days work exp. will consider
as 1 month work exp. and 1 month & 20 30/ 31 days will consider as 2-months
work exp.

Students are requested to make a note on this while signing up for placement related
processes. Those students who are not following this rule, such students would

be out of further placement process by default and the placement offer is


revoked later, IMT is not responsible for the same.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION - OPTIONAL (if it is not applicable,


that entire section can be deleted). Should have proper documents.
All Professional & Certificate courses can also mention under this heading.
Those students who are supposed to attend FRM/ CFA examinations in Nov./ Dec.,
can mention the same in their CV, subject to the submission of Admit Card & fee
deposited receipt at the time of verification of documents.
Students can mention the same in their CV as CFA/ FRM candidate in Nov./ Dec.,
20xx.
Please note that this will remain the same in your CV even after the clearance/
passing of your exam.

Workshop, etc. CANNOT be treated as Professional Qualification, this can be
mentioned under the head Extra Curricular Activities

ACHIEVEMENTS & AWARDS - OPTIONAL (if it is not applicable, that entire section
can be deleted). Should have proper documents.
Achievements & Awards means:
a. Academic & professional related achievements/ awards/ Scholarship details.
b. Post-Graduation/ State/ National/ international level winner/ Participation of any event
(other level events i.e. District/ Graduation college/ School level can be mentioned
under the head Extra Curricular Activities)
c. Winner of International/ national level paper presentation/ Case Study/ Research
Project (other level paper presentation/ Case Study can be mentioned under the
head Extra Curricular Activities).

d. Published International/ national level paper presentation, Case study, Research


project/ paper.

POSITIONS OF RESPONSIBILITY - OPTIONAL (if it is not applicable, that entire


section can be deleted). Should have proper documents.
a. Holding of positions in various capacities can be mentioned.
b. IMT Clubs & Committee students can also mention under this head.
The position/ designation should be the same as mentioned in the proof of documents. Any
similar position/ designation is not allowed to mention in the CV.

EXTRA CURRICULAR ACHIEVEMENTS OPTIONAL (if it is not applicable, that


entire section can be deleted). Should have proper documents.
Extra Curricular Achievements means:
a. Participation of any kind of workshop/ Conference/ Learning Curve Simulation
Workshop, etc.
b. Student Exchange program.
c. District/ College/ School level Winner/ Finalist/ Participation of any event.
d. Presented paper presentation, case study, research project/ paper.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION - OPTIONAL (if it is not applicable, that entire section can be
deleted).

Additional Information means:


a. Part time work experience (certificate reqd.)
b. Training Projects during Graduation/ Post Graduation (while mentioning the Training
projects, please mention that the projects held during graduation/ year (certificate
reqd.)
c. Personal interest/ hobbies, etc.

All the details, which you are mentioning in your CV, should have valid proof (subject to
verification). Proper and valid proof of documents is required for verification. Any improper
proof of documents is not acceptable for verification.
Verification of CV will be held immediately after the submission of CV as per notice to be put
up later. You are required to keep all your original documents related to Qualification,
Professional Qualification, Work Experience, Achievements & Awards, Extra Curricular
Activities, details you are mentioning under the heading Any other information, etc. for its
verification by that time, otherwise it cannot be mentioned in the CV.

IMT Clubs & Committees student members and Winner & Participation of IMT events
students are required to get their individual certificates from the respective Event faculty
member for its verification.

In case you want to put bullet mark, please use the following Bullet mark only:
For main heading

Any other bullet marks are not acceptable.
Those students, who are not submitting the CV within the deadline, they are not eligible for
the processes of campus placements, short term projects, B-School event/ competition, etc.

Students are supposed to fill up the CV/ Google forms/ details/ documents, etc. in
accordance with the verification rules of IMT Placement Office (subject to the filling
instruction rules of CV & Batch Profile), otherwise such students would be out of all
placement related activities.

Any student found guilty of filling up of any wrong details, such student would be debarred
from the entire placement process without any intimation/ deviation.

If you have any doubt, please contact Placement Office before filling the CV.
Verification of CVs will be held immediately after the submission of CV as per
notice to be put up later. Please keep ready all your original degrees/ certificates/
mark-lists, other documents, etc. related to Educational Qualification, University/
College Proof of CGPA conversion formula into %, Professional Qualification,
Work Experience, Achievements & Awards, Positions of Responsibility, Extra
Curricular Activities, Any other information, IMT Clubs & Committees selection

certificate from their respective Event faculty members etc. by 20 July for its
verification.
Please keep ready the filled in CV at your end, we will inform the deadline for
submitting the CV later may be in short notice. SINCE WE ARE GIVING
SUFFICIENT TIME FOR PREPARING/ SUBMITTING THE CV, YOU MAY
CONSULT WITH ANY FACULTY MEMBER/ SENIOR FOR MAKING
PRESENTABLE CV. WE WILL NOT ALLOW ANY ADDITION/ DELETION (EVEN A
WORD), AFTER ITS SUBMISSION.
