Recap of last Week:

Last week was full of ups and downs. Boys and girls both
lost to Boulder Creek & OConnor in the Battle of the
West. Girls were still shorthanded due to illness. We did
have two records broken by Kara Church and Jake Ogden
in the IronWoman and IronMan events. The girls had their
swim-a-thon and the boys had their dive-a-thon. The boys
started doing doubles and in no time should be doing a 2
. On Saturday, the team had their fundraiser for the
Susan G Komen: Race For the Cure Car Wash and raised
over $800. One person stopped and donated $100 and
didnt even get a car wash. Dont for get to sign up for
the Race for the Cure.

MRHS Swim & Dive IronMan & IronWoman Records Broken

Jake Ogden broke Catpain Tyler DeMers IronMan record last week at the Battle of the West TriMeet. Tyler finished with a time of 5:09.40. He came in 2 nd place at the meet. Great Job Jake.
Kara Chuch broke her older sisters, Kendall Church, record set in 2012 at the very same pool
with a time of 5:19.50. Great job Kara.
Invitational Meets
Invitational Meets are where athletes can get qualifying times and scores for the AZ State
Meet. Divers dive in front of a full judging panel and swimmers will get timed by a touch pads
or electronic timing system.
Invitational Meets are fun and very competitive. Last year the Wolves Invite had nearly 50
schools and some of the fastest swimmers and best divers from all around the state. If you are
nervous, dont worry swimmers will be going against other swimmers with similar times.
