In this project, Ill be interviewing Mr Renato Konde, which is my fathers

brother and a CAT teacher and Ill ask him a few questions about his career. He
has been working as a teacher for 7 years in CAT subject in Escola Secundaria
Luis De Freitas Branco. Lets start with it. So, Mr Konde, I just want you to tell
me a brief story about your recent and new career and here are the questions.
1. What is your job like?
Well, Marcos, my job is wonderful. Ive always dreamed to teach kids and
students about CAT. By the way, for me it helps me to pass my all
knowledge into technology for those who are willing to study Computer
Science. In class, questions are being spoken which makes me delighted
and after that answers will be answered.
2. What motivated you to be a teacher/to teach CAT?
It all started when I was in college. I studied Computer Sciences and I earn
my degree on this course. After that, Ive decided to look for schools where
I can teach CAT. Soon, I discovered a school (a secondary school) where I
can possibly teach CAT using my knowledge where I learn from college. My
passion is teaching CAT and furthermore using methods in how to explain
what a computer looks like and how to use it.
3. What are your workdays? Do you teach once/twice a week?
I work every day from 7am in the morning till 12pm in the afternoon.
Sometimes, the school gives me a day-off when Im sick or away.
4. What did you find interesting or enjoyable in this school?
I sincerely have to say I didnt found anything interesting in this school.
Theres nothing bad about this school. What I found enjoyable is the
relationship with students and teachers. Anyway, kids can play with pride
and joy and they also make worship at Sundays morning and read the
bible. This school is very strict and quite big.
5. What is your toughest moment that you had in your work?
My toughest moment was in 2008. The school had many problems with
the energy and blackboards. We couldnt afford to buy more blackboards
for the teachers to demonstrate in what theyre teaching for the students.
The school didnt pay enough for what it miss from there. We decided to
find a solution on it and using brainstorming for our own opinions.
6. How much is your salary?
I earn 1000 per month but for the all year for me is 10.000.
7. What were the challenges to enter and work in this school in your
point of view?
My challenge was to check if the childrens are alright. Make them
understand in what am I teaching (this was required to the schools
principal). My thoughts on this is to make them understand, make
questions and doubts about the theory, introducing new methods, etc.

8. How is your relationship with other teachers? And what the

stereotypes?
My relationship with other teachers is going perfectly fine. We often talk
business and entrepreneurship about the school and try to solve problems
related to parents. We also have teachers from different countries which
was marvelous. I was delighted to share my story and my beliefs about
my past.
9. If you like work, what are the work activities from your work?
- What are we hoping for students?
- Preventing more books and chairs for the school
- Motivating students to follow their passion/dreams
- Do effort for the school
10.Lastly, what are your plans for your dedicated career after
retirement?
My plans is to travel around the globe and explore more in whats
trending. In my career, everything was definitely fine and happily as soon
as Grade 12 finalized High school and go to college to earn their degrees.
Besides that, I was happily to teach students at that school and students
started making questions and questions and they were answered with
pride and joy and I realized that I had my opportunity to teach in what I
want to teach for them. CAT was always my favorite and it will always be.
