JUST IN CASE
For our 9:45 Genesis worshipers who are getting to know
the Sanctuary: the best way to reach restrooms during the
service is to go to the Narthex (entry doors for the Sanctuary on Church Street). There is one restroom available
in the Narthex, and more in Allen Hall, adjacent to our
Sanctuary; our ushers can direct you. We ask you enter and
exit through the back of the room to minimize distractions
in worship.

RECYCLE YOUR BULLETIN

8:15am & 9:45am worshipers can help the church be better
stewards of our resources and environment. If you do not
want to keep this extremely handy bulletin, just hand it to
one of our ushers as you leave. The bulletins are reused
for the 11:00am worship service, and recycled on Monday
morning.

NOTES

TRADITIONAL
When was the last time you learned a new hymn, both
text and tune? We are in the midst of a whole sermon
series on For the Life of the World. Our opening hymn,
which may be new to most of us, deals so beautifully
with the connection between worship and the world we
live in. The opening verse reminds us of the necessity
of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in our worship as
we gather for worship. Gods grace is central in the
second verse. We are reminded of the symbols of our
faith: the open Scriptures, the crosses, the baptismal
font, the Alpha and Omega candles, the bread and
the wine, all point to Gods grace extended to us in
worship. Verse three reminds us of the entire body of
Christ, young and old. (Childrens presence in adult
worship is SO VERY crucial, as that is where they learn
to worship by seeing and participating in worship with
parents and other adults.) The final verse is a prayer
asking Gods help to live out our faith in the various
places in the world as we seek to build His kingdom.
Where you are these days is exactly where God has
placed you. Listen to the Holy Spirit this morning.
You have come into Gods presence. God Is Here.
