We believe in an inclusive country that fosters opportunity, creativity and a

level playing field. Donald Trump does not. He campaigns on anger, bigotry,
fear of new ideas and new people, and a fundamental belief that America is
weak and in decline. We have listened to Donald Trump over the past year and
we have concluded: Trump would be a disaster for innovation. His vision
stands against the open exchange of ideas, free movement of people, and
productive engagement with the outside world that is critical to our
economyand that provide the foundation for innovation and growth.

eWeek: Trump Would be a 'Disaster for Innovation,' Tech Leaders Say

All in all, a Trump presidency would be terrible for tech and innovation someone should tell Peter Thiel. But unlike Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton has
a strong plan to boost tech and innovation in America. And - that plan has
received accolades across the board:
Fred Wilson: The Candidates Tech Agenda Hillary Clinton laid out her tech
agenda yesterday. You can see it here. I like much of it, particularly the
emphasis on getting our kids the skills they need to be competitive in the 21st
century. I am so with her on that. I googled Donald Trump tech agenda and
found nothing substantive. I would encourage the Trump campaign to do
something similar so the tech sector can see what these two candidates think
the nations tech agenda should be for the next eight years.
Aaron Levie: Election 2016: Avoiding Americas Disruption Which brings us
back to Hillarys initiative on Technology & Innovation and the 2016 election.
Hillarys comprehensive technology plan includes many smart and informed
policy proposals, program ideas and reforms that charge us into the future.
Just to name a few: making STEM education available to every student in
every school; increasing the availability of modern technology and high-speed
internet throughout the country; overhauling immigration to bring the worlds
best talent to America; modernizing regulations to accelerate rather than
curtail ground-breaking innovation; and improving government IT so it can
run more nimbly and efficiently.

the Secretarys understanding that tackling this challenge requires a strong

CTA: Hillary Clinton Puts Technology and Innovation Agenda Front and
Center "Technology and innovation are major drivers of the U.S. economy and
provide hope for the future by creating jobs, leading our nation's
competitiveness and providing solutions to global challenges. Given the
critical importance of our sector, it's encouraging that Secretary Clinton is
taking the initiative as the first major presidential candidate in this election
cycle to put technology and innovation issues front-and-center in the national
policy debate. I am especially pleased that Sec. Clinton, who started her career
as a patent and IP lawyer, forcefully comes out against patent trolls and
opposes SOPA-PIPA.
TechNet: Statement on Hillary Clintons Technology and Innovation Agenda
Hillary Clinton is the first of the presidential candidates to lay out a
technology and innovation agenda. In doing so, Hillary proves that she gets it
that our nations ability to grow our economy and drive job creation is
dependent on our ability to stay ahead of the curve in innovation. Its worth
singling out Secretary Clintons proposals on making investments in computer
science and STEM education, the need to safeguard the free flow of
information across borders, the critical importance of cybersecurity at home
and abroad, as well as the need to reallocate and repurpose radio spectrum for
broadband and WiFi. These are key components in the effort to build a true
innovation economy.

defer student loans for entrepreneurs, invest in STEM

that, thanks to a new tech policy plan released Tuesday. Clinton pledges to
promote entrepreneurship, diversify the tech workforce, and double down on
STEM and computer science education in public schools. She is the first
candidate to outline any sort of tech agenda this election season, which may
help her gain traction with the influential tech community.
