8 Estimation of ReservesParameters of estimation of category of reserves and their category:

The following parameters have been considered while estimating the geological reserves (in situ):
1. The ultimate pit limit (As marked on plate no.4) is been calculated by the help of mineralized
zone boundary .it has been marked considering the angle of repose as 45 0.
2. The bottom limit is marked as limit of probable reserves.
3. The statuary barrier is not considered as mineable.
4. The reserve under statuary barrier has not taken into calculation.
5. The feldspar contains K2O between 5-7 % & Quartz 80-90% sio2 is considered sub grade.
More mixed Quartz &Feldspar is also sub grade mineral.
6. During the shorting on mineral much inter mixed mineral, small size pieces, powder, dust,
low grade below sub grade mineral shall be rejects.
Proved reserves:
It is assumed as per the present mining scenario:
i.
Based on the prior experience the recovery factor is considered as 60%
ii.
The depth of proved mineral is taken up to 445 mRL from surface.

CHAPTER 4: MINING
4.1 PROPOSED MINING METHOD:Chhingto bhata Quartz & Feldspar applied mining lease is to be developed by an opencast mine
method by making benches of 3 m width &3m height. The bench formed shall be in two slice of each
1.5 m height.
It is evident that the mineral in this area is near the surface and therefore open cast mining is the
obvious method of choice.
4.2 Existing Mine Working- being a new applied lease area, there is no pits/trenches exist within the
lease area.

4.4 proposed rate of production when the mine is fully developed and expected life of the mine
and the year from which effected:Proposed rate of production when the mine is fully developed: - 12019 MT
The expected life shall be 11 years.
4.5 CONCEPTUAL MINING PLAN
4.5.1 Proposal of conceptual plan
The proposal of the conceptual closure is based on the geology and topography of the region. A part
of the excavated region shall be converted into water reservoir after exhausting the complete available
mineral. The lessee shall make water drains for the purpose. This will help in solving the water
problem of the area and will raise the water table. The surroundings of the proposed water reservoir
would be fenced. Remaining part of the excavated region shall be backfilled up to the original ground
level and a forestation shall be carried out over it. At the end of life of mine the waste available in the
lease area shall be spread all around the water reservoir .this shall strengthen the banks of the water
reservoir and shall be used for plantation after spreading of top soil over it. This shall also increase the
aesthetic beauty of the area .the office and other buildings, the mine road and the other entire
infrastructure developed by the lessee shall b used by the local people as public buildings. The virgin
region shall be used for agriculture purposes.
Ultimate size of the pit at the end of lease period: 1.486 Hectare.

Ultimate pit depth: 18 m

Ultimate pit slope: 450
Area to be covered under plantation: 1.732 Hect.
Area to be reclaimed up to the end of the lease period: 1.117 Hectare.
4.5.2 Land Degradation and Reclamation
Total excavated area: 1.486 hectare.
Area to be converted into water reservoir: 0.369 hectare.
Area to be reclaimed (backfilled): 1.117 hectare.
Remaining dump area: Nil
4.5.3 Rehabilitation
As no personal are expected to be migrated due to mining in the applied mining lease area and the
adjoining region is also having a good mineral potential, the rehabilitation of the employees is not
going to be a problem. The workers and other staff can get job in the neighbouring areas after the end
of life of mine.
4.5.4 Plantation proposals
Type of plants:
1. Mango
2. Neem
3. Palm
4. Other fruit bearing trees
No. Of plants: 350
Total area to be covered: 1.732 Hectare
Time of implementation:
During the rainy season in form of green festival
4.5.5 Anticipated life of mine
We are considering average production of 12019 MT of mineral per annum
Anticipated life= Mine able (proved +probable) reserve /average annual production
=135545.4/12019=11 years
Dimension & location of the dump at the end of the fifth year:-111 m x 26m x 10.5 near pillar c.
No dump shall be kept in the region at the closure stage of mine. The entire dump shall be backfilled.

4.6 year wise development for five yearsThe mining shall be done to make the mines safe and systematic with the required production .the
mine mineral shall be collected in the mineral stack yard and then sorted over their manually before
its final dispatches to various industries through dumpers. The waste generated shall be carried
through dumpers. The waste generated shall be carried through dumpers to the dump yard in the east
part of the lease .the bench height shall 3m & bench shall be more then the bench eight.
First year (2011-2012)
During the first year of the mining plan the lessee will start excavate of mineral to produce total of
15577 MT excavations. This will include 7371 MT of recoverable mineral and 4914 MT of mineral
reject or waste rock & recoverable mineral and 4914 MT of mineral reject or waste rock &
overburden shall be generated from OB bench 3292 MT .the recoverable mineral includes 5897 MT
of Feldspar and 1474 MT of Quartz.
