RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

RESEARCH
Research in common parlance refers to a search for knowledge. Research can be
defined as scientific and systematic search for pertinent information on a specific topic.
It can also be defined as scientific investigation or a careful investigation, enquire
specially through search for new facts in any branch of knowledge or a voyage of
discovery.
RESEARCH DESIGN:
Descriptive research was conducted to collect data. Descriptive research includes
survey and fact finding enquiries of different kinds. The major purpose of descriptive
research is description of the state of affairs as if exist at present.
In social science and business research we quite often use the term ex post facto
research for descriptive research studies. The main characteristics of this method are that
the researcher have no control over the variables, he can only report what has happened
or what is happening most ex post facto research projects are used for descriptive
studies in which the researcher seeks to measure such items as for example, frequency of
shopping, preferences of people or similar data. The present study aims to find out the
impact of training on the employees.
Nature of data:
The Data collected is primary in nature.

Data Sources:
The study used both secondary and primary data.
Primary Data:
For the purpose of the study, the researcher prepared a structured and pre-tested
questionnaire which was administered to the employees of MIDHANI who have a view
about organization culture. In addition to the questionnaire the researcher made personal
observations as well conducted informal interviews with the employees.

Secondary data:
The researcher collected the information about the topic and other concepts about
the topic from books written by management authors and from management journals and
magazines related to management.
Methods of data collection
The data was collected through questionnaires and informal interviews.

SAMPLING

Sample:
Sample is the representative of the whole universe or population. Here the
universe constitutes 1266 employees and the sample is drawn through stratified sampling
method.
Sampling technique:
The present study uses stratified sampling method. If the population from which
the sample is to be drawn does not constitute a homogeneous group, stratified sampling
technique is generally applied in order to obtain a representative sample.
Sample size
The total sample size was restricted to 100 samples from executives, supervisors
and workmen. Contrast labour, apprentices, temporary labors were not included for the
survey.
Analysis Method
The method used for analysis is percentage method.
