Give Wildlife

a Second
Chance

Treating to Release
When native birds have been
found injured, orphaned, or ill, the
community turns to Tri-State.
Our professional staff and volunteers
provide the best, if not only, chance
these animals have to return to
the wild.
Operating under state and federal
permits, our Wild Bird Clinic
admits nearly 3,000 patients every
year, most of them affected by
human activity. Half of these patients
will be young birds that will be
expertly raised and returned
to life in the wild.

Providing professional care for wildlife in need since 1976

Ready to Respond
Tri-States Oiled Wildlife Response
Team is on-call 24/7/365.
Founded to mitigate the effects of oil
on wildlife, Tri-State continues to lead
the way in oiled wildlife response,
training, and contingency planning.
Our highly trained team provides
professional and safe care to
compromised wildlife during an
incident of any size.
Weve responded to hundreds of
incidents locally and around the
world, including leading the Gulf of
Mexico response in 2010.

Educating & Learning

Tri-State remains at the forefront of wildlife
rehabilitation through continual learning, colleague
collaboration, and humane research.
Our veterinarians and staff have been widely published
and present regularly at conferences to share our
knowledge and to help advance the field.
Our dedication to the future of wildlife rehabilitation
is evident in our ongoing intern and extern programs,
which help train the rehabilitators and veterinarians
of tomorrow.

Leading the Way

From founding the Effects of Oil on Wildlife
Conference in 1982 to developing state-of-the-art
procedures to help our patients today, Tri-State
continues to be a leader in avian and oiled
wildlife rehabilitation.
Our Wildlife Response Annex, a sister building to
the Frink Center for Wildlife, is a facility designed
to serve oiled wildlife and patients from large-scale
incidents. This unique building was designed for
optimal patient and responder safety.

With Your Help

It is only through our dedicated volunteers,
supporters, and the community that we are able to
help injured wild birds fly free again.
As a not-for-profit organization, we rely on support
from individuals, foundations, and corporations to
give these patients a second chance.
Tri-State receives no federal funding. Your generosity
makes a real difference, one bird at a time!
