Palmers Golf Course has given a task to manage its project activities in a way so that its
overwhelmed tasks may properly be managed. It is a great rush of people in the golf course due
large number of membership and limited activities of different departments like HRM and
accounts department who are not in a way to manage the activities during working.
The project has been created to manage these activities using MS Project software. This
project is very useful in managing from small and simple project to very large and complex
project very efficiently and effectively. The project has been created with different activities and
tasks to achieve the required targets within given time period. 32 to 34 (expandable) tasks have
been created in the project that have been linked with finish-to-start (FS) links. The tasks have
been assigned to different workers who are performing their activities according to their
respective assignments. The people who have been selected are: Chief Programmer, a Senior
Programmer, three Programming-Analysts and a Programmer in the project to complete
different tasks. Three Students and some clients have been added in the timeline who are
working in different days with different timing.
Students are working on Tuesday and Wednesday on part time timing while other
workers are doing as full time from Monday to Friday having timing 8:00AM to 5:00PM with
two hours break (from 12:00PM to 2:00PM). On the other hand, the timing of working of
students is 2:00PM to 5:00PM in these two days. The special calendar has been created for
students Students Calendar with exceptional days other than Tuesday and Wednesday. Other
detail charts and graphs have been attached here with for further lookup. Similarly, timing of
different workers is different as per their workload and management. For example, work timing
for Program Analyst has been reduced to 4 working hours that has affected their number of
days. Total number of days have been observed 112 days with complete detail of the activities
and resources during the creation of project and Gantt chart. Complete detail of Gantt chart and
other resources have been given in the attached sheets.
