Our text this morning speaks of what is pressing or

urgentand what isactually important. Weall striveto
do the things that are important to us, but were often
distracted by things that are pressing or urgent
things that have to be done right now that arent
necessarily a part of the central values of our life as a
Christ follower.

So, how do we strike a balance between the urgent

things and the important things? In today's passage
Christ is teaching us, every Christ follower, what is
important rather than what is urgent. Lets ask
ourselves this question: What is the one activity that
you know if you did it with excellence and consistency,
that wouldhave a significant positive result inyour walk
as a Christ follower? I believe our text today will help us
find the answer.

Ladies Fall Bible Study

Begins: Sunday, October 16th. Sunday and Wednesday classes.
A 12-week study of Idols of the Heart by Elyse Fitzpatrick. We
look forward to learning how idols in our hearts compete with our
aections for God and to identify these idols and deal with them
in a biblical way. Cost of book: $14. Please sign up at the
