DIFERENCIA ENTRE "GOING TO" Y "WILL" EN FUTURO

GOING TO
Generalmente "to be + going to" se usa para acciones que van a
suceder muy pronto o para expresar un plan que se tiene.

 El tiempo futuro con "going to" se usa ms comnmente en el lenguaje

hablado cuando se quiere hacer referencia al futuro inmediato, es decir, a
algo que est por ocurrir.
EJEMPLO
She is going to pay with a credit card = Ella va a pagar con
una tarjeta de crdito (algo que est por ocurrir).
I am going to drop off my prescription over there = voy a
dejar mi prescripcin mdica all.
Tambin se emplea para hablar de intenciones o planes para hacer algo:
EJEMPLO:
Im going to learn English = voy a aprender ingls.
Si hacemos una prediccin del futuro basados en la evidencia de una
situacin presente, usamos "going to"
EJEMPLO:

Not a cloud in the sky. It's going to be another warm day. = Ni una nube
en el cielo. Va a ser otro da caluroso.

Look at the queue. We're not going to get in for hours. = Mira la cola. No
vamos a poder entrar en horas.

The traffic is terrible. We're going to miss our flight. = El trfico es terrible.
Vamos a perder nuestro vuelo.

Be careful! You're going to spill your coffee. = Ten cuidado! Vas a tirar tu
caf.

Estructura
Todas las formas de este tiempo verbal requieren el uso del verbo to be en
sus tres conjugaciones (am, is, are) dependiendo del sujeto. De esta forma:

WILL
El futuro con "will" se utiliza para hablar de decisiones que se toman
mientras se habla o se usa para expresar una promesa, una prediccin o
algo que se quiere hacer en el futuro.
Ejemplos:

I need to get my medicine. I will go to the pharmacy tonight.

Necesito comprar mi medicina. Ir a la farmacia esta noche.

I need some cash. I will pay with my debit card and ask for cash
back.
Necesito algo de efectivo. Pagar con mi tarjeta dbito y pedir efectivo de
vuelta.

Tambin es usado para decir predicciones de carcter general:

Ejemplos:
Im sure it will rain tomorrow.
Estoy seguro de que va a llover maana.
Gerardo Gmez will win the election.
Gerardo Gmez va a ganar las elecciones.

 Cuando queremos hablar de hechos futuros o de cosas que creemos se

haran realidad en un futuro, utilizamos "will".
EJEMPLO:

The President will serve for four years.= El Presidente desempear sus
funciones por cuatro aos

The boss won't be very happy. = El patrn no estar muy feliz.

I'm sure you'll like her. = Estoy seguro de que ella te va a gustar.

I'm certain he'll do a good job. = Estoy seguro de que el har un buen
trabajo.

Si no estamos tan seguros sobre el futuro, utilizamos "will" con

expresiones tales como 'probablemente', 'posiblemente', 'creo', 'espero'.

I hope you'll visit me in my home one day. = Espero me visites en mi

casa un da.

She'll probably be a great success. = Probablemente ella ser un gran

xito.

I'll possibly come but I may not get back in time. = Yo posiblemente
vendre, pero tal vez no pueda volver a tiempo.

I think we'll get on well. = Creo que nos llevaremos bien.
