Aim: To test the level of knowledge of the candidate and assess his/her suitability for
employment as PGT (Political Science) to teach with proficiency in cl XI & XII in an English
medium Private school system following the syllabus prescribed by CBSE.
Knowledge level: Candidate should have good understanding of his field as an educator is
expected to facilitate the learners to analyze issues and think critically. He/She should have
knowledge as per his/her qualification i.e. subject knowledge of Post Graduate level for the post
of PGT (Political Science).
Understanding: Candidate should have an in depth knowledge of his subject so as to be able
to analyze & comprehend given question, choose the correct option/answer in English in the
limited time period and attempt all/maximum no. of questions.
Awareness: Candidates are expected to be abreast of current events and socio, eco & political
developments, both national & international. They are also expected to be aware of latest trends
and developments in pedagogy, inter disciplinary research & progress relevant to their subject.
Format (weightage) of the paper: The paper will broadly consist of 90 multiple choice
questions based on the detailed Syllabus
