Read the following paragraph about an important event from the past. Pay
attention to the content of the paragraph:

1. Year and event

2. Three reasons why that year was so special
3. Confirm it was the best year

MY FAVORITE YEAR
My favorite year was 2001 because I could see the sea for the first time. First, my mom told me
to get good grades at school because I was not a good student. She helped me with the
homework so, it was easy to understand the topics the teachers evaluated. Then, I saved
money because I explained my classmates the topics they did not understand in the class,
sometimes I was very tired but I wanted to travel to the coast. Finally, my mother was very
proud of me because I was the best student from my class. We traveled on December. It was
my first time on a plane but I was not afraid. It was definitely my best year because I had the
best vacations.

Now, it is time to write! Write about an important year in your life (120-150
words). Use linking words (and, but, so, because) and Simple Past. Do not
forget to include:
Year and event
Three reasons why that year was so special
Confirm it was the best year
