Lyari)

It was a red-letter day to have an internationally known NGO

Youth Parliament of Pakistan at our university BBSU. Because it was the
first visit of the Youth Parliament of Pakistan students were very much
restless about the event. The auditorium was almost full with the
students with the happiness on their faces and many questions in their
minds. Youth Parliament of Pakistan was organizing this event in
collaboration with the famous T.V channel AAJ TV.
According to the host the topic of the event was why the
image of Lyari shown to people of the world is quite negative. Mr.
Rizwan Jaffar the chairmen of YPP (Youth Parliament of Pakistan was
hosting the show. The chief guest of the event was the worthy vice
chancellor (Professor Dr. Rasheed Ali Shah) of BBSU. Dr. Akhtar Baloch
was especially invited from the University of Karachi as a guest the
others were respected Registrar Professor Dr. Mehboob Ali Shaikh and
the Dean Professor Dr. Abdul Hussain Shah Bukhari as well as Dr. Farida
Azim Lodhi. The program was started with the name of Almighty Allah
(the most beneficent and merciful). After recitation of Holy Quran the
event was started formally. As the show was of questioning and
answering between students and the honourable guests as well as host
so it was started as the format of the program. He also told us that the
guests that were invited by him didnt came because of the security
threats and the members of YPP also can not come because of the
image of Lyari created by the media and other lobbies. The host Mr.
Rizwan Jaffar was very surprised to see the marvellous students of
BBSU giving the answers of the host confidently. He was looking very
happy also by seeing the talent of Lyari, and felt sorry also about what
the world thinks about the people as well as the area of Lyari. The show
started with some interesting questions and the students gave the
answers brilliantly. The event named as Sawaal Hai Pakistan Ka as
mentioned above, they were celebrating their 100 th episode of their
show. And it was an honour for the university and its students to have
Mr. Rizwan celebrating the 100th episode of his program in this
university. As he said that he paid a visit to BBSU before 3 days of
event and he was astonished to see such a peaceful and disciplined
environment of the university and then immediately he decided to
organise the event in BBSU. The questions were about the political
issues, law and order situation and the other important matters of
Pakistan especially of Lyari. At the end of the show bouquets were
given to the guests and to the host. More importantly Mr. Rizwan
offered membership of Youth Parliament of Pakistan to the students by
seeing their passion and enthusiasm to do something for countrys
sake. And the students also welcomed this act by taking the
membership offer and joining YPP.

The theme of the event was to assure people that there is no

such kind of a thing from which any citizen of Pakistan think hundred
times before going to Lyari. Unfortunately the law and order situation
of Pakistan more in Karachi is not good. Many areas are affected by this
but why always Lyari is on the top of the list? We all should more likely
the students of BBSU should be playing a major and important role in
making the negative aspect of Lyari to positive aspect.
