to jail for breaking those rules! [ed.]
Part 5 of 6
Rule Five: Confidentiality
(Duty to Maintain Confidential Information)

May Not Disclose Your employees, agents or
trustees may not disclose information about you
or the transaction that you have instructed them
to keep confidential, as well as information that,
by the use of common sense, they would know you
wouldnt want disclosed. That duty to keep things
confidential continues even after the Relationship
of Trust terminates.
Examples of Confidentiality Classic
examples of confidentiality include attorneyclient
confidentiality,
and
doctor-patient
confidentiality. It is the agents duty to neither
disclose nor misuse, for their own purposes,
proprietary information, trade secrets and other
business confidential information.
How do you protect yourself?
Remind Your Agent Remember that
disloyalty may have its origin in ignorance as
well as fraud. Take the precaution of reminding
your employee or agent about their duty of
confidentiality in order to prevent them from
carelessly revealing to the sellers agent how much
youre really willing to pay for that property.

Rule Six: Accounting
(Duty to Account)
Render Accounting Employees, as well as
agents and trustees, must account for all property
money received and paid out during the course
of the Relationship of Trust. Upon request, they
are obligated to render a formal accounting and
return all property or money received.
This is the legal application of the story of the
Good Steward.
Provisions in Codes of Ethics There are
extensive provisions in professional codes of ethics
for attorneys, brokers, and financial advisers
prohibiting commingling of escrow funds with
office operating funds.
A Duty to Account Its essential for attorneys
and other agents, employees and trustees to
conduct their everyday business constantly
mindful that they have a duty to account. If we
are unprepared to account, we may drift into
conducting our employers business as if we are
spending their own money. Memo to Madoff...
Corporations Have Been Remarkably
Arrogant Look at the remarkable arrogance
of the corporations who just received billions in
bailouts. They ignore lawful instruction, as well
as their Duty to Account. What such corporate
officers and directors have forgotten is that
they owe these Six Fiduciary Duties to their
shareholders, many of whom are now the tax
payers of the United States.
Know the Rules and Asert Yourself In
order to have the protections of the Six Rules
of Relationships of Trust you have to know the
rules. In order to have the protections of the
Relationships of Trust you have to assert yourself!
Finally, you can skillfully complain. Remember
that all contracts are negotiable and you dont get
if you dont ask.

one recommended by consumer advocacy
groups or write your own. Have your
attorney review first.

an attorney before making a major blind
item purchase.

The fact-checking website has rated 76 percent
of Trumps statements mostly false, false or

WIC is a federally funded program to assist
women, infants, and children. WIC helps lowincome families by providing funding for
nutrition, education, and health care for children.
48. State Snow Removal
Even though sometimes it may take them longer
than you like to get to your street, do you like
having snow plow service to clear our roads and
highways in the winter? This is a state socialist
taxpayer-funded service.
49. PBS (Public Broadcasting Service)
PBS operates on donations and government
funding. They provide non-partisan news and
information to the public. They are the home of
Sesame Street, Masterpiece Theater, and The
Antiques Roadshow. Surveys show that they are
literally the most trusted name in news. I wonder
how Fox feels about that?
50. Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC)
The CDC helps promote and enact the health and
safety of the public along with helping to prevent and
control illness and disease. The CDC is a government
program that operates on taxpayer funding.
51. Welfare
Is there anything the Republicans hate more? Of
course Im talking about the welfare that goes to
poor people. Corporate welfare is not only accepted
in the Republican cabal, but its mandatory that
we give our tax dollars to billionaires and not
question the logic of it. Though if you look at it
realistically and not through the red scare glasses
in which the right sees the world, welfare helps
the economy. As Ive said many times, when

poor people have money in their pocket, they buy

things made and sold by companies. This creates
a demand. To keep up with demand, businesses
must hire to keep up. If you yanked everyone
who is on welfare off of it tomorrow, the economy
would take a blow and lose jobs due to the down
tick in consumer demand because we just took
what little money they had away.
52. Public Street Lighting
Like being able to see at night when you walk or
drive? Thank Socialism.
53. FEMA
If disaster strikes, FEMA is there to help pick up
the pieces. As a part of homeland security and
an agency of the federal government, they use
taxpayer dollars to help cities, states, and towns
recover and rebuild. I dont know too many private
companies that could assist in disaster relief and
ask nothing in return. Thank God for socialism.
54. Public Defenders
Ever been in trouble and couldnt afford a lawyer?
Well, the taxpayers and the government make
sure you still get representation.
55. S-CHIP (State Childrens Health
Insurance Program)
S-CHIP is a program that matches funds to states
for health insurance for children in families that
cannot afford insurance but make too much to
qualify for Medicaid. Your tax dollars go towards
covering uninsured children. Is that so wrong?
56. Amtrak
Amtrak transports tens of millions of passengers a
year in 46 states and three Canadian Providences.
It is owned by the federal government and your
tax dollars are used to fund it. All aboard!!
57. NPR
National Public Radio operates on private and
federal funding along with public donations. NPR
has been one of the most trusted news sources in
America for over 40 years.
58. The Department of Homeland Security
Created after the terrorist attacks on 9/11, this
heavily federally funded department of the U.S.
government helps protect us from future terrorist
attacks. This is the third largest department
within the United States government.

Dog-Whistle Politics
As Bill Moyers points out, over the past 50 years,
corporate and cultural right-wingers have joined
hands to master the use of dog-whistle phrases
(welfare queens, takers v. makers, illegals, states
rights, voter fraud, and food stamp president)
to turn Americans against each other while
turning America over to plutocrats. Ian Haney
Lopez, author of the insightful and very useful
2014 book, Dog Whistle Politics, explains that
by linking government giveaways to THEM
(undeserving people of color sponging off hardworking, struggling whites) the whistlers not
only fracture our movements interracial unity,
but also undermine broad political support for
unemployment benefits, college grants, Medicaid,
parks, and other public investments that benefit
all of us. As Lpez puts it: When racism wins,

Summary
The Republican presidential candidates met
for their second debate on Sept. 16. We found
they strayed from the facts on numerous issues,
including:
Donald Trump told a story linking vaccination to
autism, but theres no evidence that recommended
vaccines cause autism. And Sen. Rand Paul
suggested that it would be safer to spread out
recommended vaccines, but theres no evidence
of that, either.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Trump
donated to his gubernatorial campaign to get him
to change his mind on casino gambling in Florida.
But Trump denied he ever wanted to bring casino
gambling to the state. A former lobbyist says he
did.
Trump said that illegal immigration cost more
than $200 billion a year. We couldnt find any
support for that. Actually, it could cost taxpayers
$137 billion or more to deport the 11 million immigrants in the country illegally, as Trump proposes.
Trump again wrongly said that Mexico doesnt
have a birthright citizenship policy like the United
States. It does.
Carly Fiorina said that the Planned Parenthood
videos released by an anti-abortion group showed
a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating,
its legs kicking while someone says we have to
keep it alive to harvest its brain. But that scene
isnt in any of the videos.
Fiorina repeated familiar boasts about her time at
Hewlett-Packard, saying the size of the company
doubled, without mentioning that was due to
a merger with Compaq, and she cherry-picked
other statistics.
Florida Sen. Marco Rubio said that U.S. policies
to combat climate change would do absolutely
nothing. The U.S. acting alone would have a
small effect on rising temperatures and sea levels,
and experts say U.S. leadership on the issue would
prompt other nations to act.

Unhappy with the fact that the Palm Beach County

School Board is doing their job as prescribed by
law, evaluating whether or not an entity hoping
to open a charter school is offering innovative
services and not simply duplicating existing course
offerings provided by the local schools, the state
proposes to place a constitutional amendment on
the ballot giving the authority to grant charters
to some ill defined group of bureaucrats sitting
in Tallahassee or to county government who, for
the most part, know nothing about how charter
schools and education in general are supposed to
operate.
In a gotcha moment State Representative Manny
Diaz, the long time Dean of the Doral Academy
charter school, one of a chain of charter schools
operated by Academica Corporation, believes
that the Palm Beach County Board of Education
has rejected way too many charter requests even
though there are more than 50 charter schools
currently operating in the county. The school
board, charged with the responsibility of evaluating
charter applications, as well as auditing their
financial and eduction operations throughout the
year, angers Rep. Diaz because they take their job
seriously and believe that someone other than a
state legislator, whose possible conflict of interest
is blatantly obvious, should be caring more about
educating our kids than lining the pockets of him
and other state legislators who earn their living by
being employees of or have in interests in charter
schools.
This grab for power by the Republican-led
Legislature, intent on eliminating traditional
public education and privatizing it as well as all

government services; mental health care, roads,

prisons succeeds only because the public
permits this type of action to continue. If the
public believes that educating kids is expensive
now, wait until the entire system is privatized
but by then it will be too late.

Denmark, Austria, Germany,

to Obstruct a Clinton Presidency
This is why we must win the House

Republicans have spent the past year twisting

themselves into hideous contortions in order to
avoid hearings on President Obama's pick for the
Supreme Court, so its no surprise that theyre
already planning to stymie Hillary Clinton by any
means necessary should she win the presidency.
In a new Washington Post op-ed, two former
advisers to Richard Nixon but of course! lay
out a four-point strategy for the GOP to thwart
Clinton and claw its way back to power in the
event of a Donald Trump loss. The crux of their
scheme isnt exactly subtle:
Trump will drag down the entire ticket, but it is vital
that Republicans maintain control of the Senate, if
possible, and at the very least, the House.
With a Republican House, attention-getting
hearings can be held every week on the inevitable
missteps in a Clinton administration. The
domestic scene, from the economy to health care
to trade to infrastructure, will quickly ripen for
congressional oversight.
Got that? The chief reason for Republicans
to strive to retain the House is not so that they
might, say, forge compromises with Democrats,

direction. Whore we kidding? Its so that they can
launch even more bogus investigations, spark
sensationalist headlines, and grind a hypothetical
Clinton administration into paralysis. Legislating?
Thats for suckers.
But if the GOP keeps its strangehold on the lower
chamber, we can expect nothing but Benghazi on
steroids for four straight years. Thats why its so
vitally important that we expand the playing field
to capitalize on the looming Trumpocalypse and
give Hillary Clinton a Democratic House next
year. Weve suffered enough Republican gridlock
this decade. Lets end it now.
