Student Teachers
Today we said goodbye to our 4 student
teachers. Mr Stuart Weaver and Miss
Donjeta Haxhiu, both 2nd Year students at
Canterbury Christ Church University, have
been attached to Year 4. Miss Hannah
Mulvihill and Miss Elena Brock, both 1st
Years at CCCU, have been with Year 3 and
Year 6 respectively. Miss Shelby May, also a
1 st Year, has worked with our Reception
class. They have each brought much to the
School and have contributed with great
big-heartedness and enthusiasm. It is always
so valuable to be able to access latest good
practice in teacher training and
development, and for their part, our 5
students have I know learned much and will
take all this experience with them in their
future careers, in which we wish them all
success.
Year 6 Charity Week
Year 6 have been engaged in a variety of
fundraising events, culminating in todays
Silly Socks day. The fundraising effort - for
CHYPS - has been impressive, especially at
Wednesdays cake sale, when in just 15
minutes, the sum of 180 was raised.
Madame Baldacci would like to thank the
parents for all their contributions to this
worthwhile charity.
SATs
Standard achievement tests have been
taking place over the four days from
Tuesday to today. All children from Year 1 to
Year 6 have been sitting papers in English
Writing, English Comprehension and
Mathematics. These are of course important
ways of assessing attainment and progress,
and the results will be available on Pupil
Progress Cards at this terms parents
evenings (Tues, Wed, Thurs, 28, 29, 30
June)

Gravesend Kwik Cricket

Well done to Elisha, Hannah, Tom, David,
Kaden, Jeevan, Jay, Roan, Balkaran and Taran
who represented the School in the Gravesend
District Kwik Cricket Festival. All players were a
credit to the School, showing excellent team
work, supporting each other and good
sportsmanship. Excellent bowling from Elisha,
Roan and Tom, wicket keeper from David, good
catches from Taran and Balkaran, and some
excellent runs scored by Jeevan, Hannah, Kaden
and Jay. Although we did not win, our best
result of the day was beating St Johns 194
222. An excellent day. Well done everyone.

Chateau
Finally, all the reports about the French trip to
Chateau were absolutely fantastic! It was clearly a
most enriching, worthwhile and fun experience for
everyone who took part. Thank you very much to
Mrs Baldacci who undertook much of the
administration for the trip, and, on the ground, to
Mrs Prescott (i/c), Mrs Lippard, Mrs Kitsell and
Miss Prescott.
