10. Three teaching positions need to be filled for next year, one English teacher and two math
teachers. There are 7 applicants for the English position and 12 applicants for the 2 math
positions. How many ways can the positions be filled?
11. If you purchase one ticket, find the probability of winning the lottery according to the
following conditions:
a) You must correctly select 6 out of 51 numbers. The order of numbers is not
important.
b) You must correctly select 3 numbers, each from 0 to 9. The order of the numbers is
important.
12. You roll a 6-sided die 2 times. Find the probability that the sum will be 7.
13. A coin is flipped three times. Find the probability of two of the flips landing on tails.
14. A card is drawn randomly from a full deck. Find the probability it will not be a face
card.
