"The school curriculum provides everything that the average teenager needs to know for
adult life." What are your views on this statement?!

During the last few years, the question of wether the school curriculum provides
everything that a teenager needs to know for adult life or not. In many countries around the
world exists many different school curriculums. But, in Western Europe the curriculums are
practically the same. They make teenagers learn about many different subjects that other
schools in Asia, for example, cannot learn.!

Firstly, the school curriculum does not provide enough information about adult life
because some subjects such as sex education, that are an important part of adulthood to
know about, are not taught to teenagers in several countries. For example, Italys, Spains
and Swedens curriculums dont teach about this subject. Statistics show that more and
more teenagers are starting to have an adult sex life during their mutation so it is very
important for them to know what is happening to them and what can be the consequences
of this. Some countries even rule out civic eduction of the curriculum which is a problem
towards the young people who will not know anything about the politics of their country.
This could have many effects on the country because not many people will be interested in
the political life and, as a result, they will not want to participate in politics. For example,
the votes would not be done because they would not know what its use might be.!

However, many other countries such as France, Great-Britain and Germany intagrate
these important subjects into their curriculum because they want the children to be aware
of the life that will follow. It also shows how important it is to know about adult life because,
if they are ignorant of these subjects, it could lead to many dangers he or she might not
know of. But the curriculums do provide enough knowledge the average teenager needs
to know for adult life with many other subjects that could help them later in their
proffessional life. For example, the subject Science can help a teenager want to be a
scientific when he grows up and it teaches him or her what this job looks for.!

In conclusion, some countries do provide enough knowledge of adulthood to teenagers

but some other countries do not. If people think that their countries do not provide enough,
it can be discussed in private with adults and parents that are willing to explain it to young
teenagers.!
