partner. The agreement will regulate the promotion of ESOF 2014 and other types
of contribution provided by the media partner as well as the privileges provided to
the media partner by DASTI in return.
DASTI will announce on its websites www.esof2014.org and www.fivu.dk that a
limited number of media partners are invited to contribute to ESOF 2014 and that

Evaluation criteria
The ESOF 2014 media partners will be selected on the basis of the following evaluation criteria:
1) The extent to which the media partnership supports the promotion of ESOF
2014. The promotion will be evaluated in terms of how many people are
exposed to the offered promotion, how relevant the people are in relation
to ESOF 2014 target groups and the media s general integrity and reputation in science journalism and communication.
2) The media s demands to DASTI in terms of the value of the expected visibility and other services. DASTI will only engage in fair and balanced
partnerships, where the value of the offered promotion is at least equivalent
to the services offered by ESOF 2014.
3) It will be regarded positively if the media participates in ESOF 2014 programme e.g. as organisers of sessions in the ESOF 2014 programme or
events during Science in the City.

Procedure
After 1 September 2013 DASTI will evaluate the submitted proposals. Only proposals fulfilling the basic requirements will be evaluated based upon the listed
criteria.
DASTI may decide to enter into negotiations with the media that fulfill the basic
requirements. Such negotiations may take place within all or some of the categories listed above. In the event that negotiations are initiated, all media within the
concerned category will be invited individually to a first round of negotiations.
Having completed the first round of negotiations, DASTI will re-evaluate the
proposals based upon the listed criteria and possibly invite the media to submit a
revised proposal. If another round of negotiations is required before concluding
on the ranking of the proposals within a certain category, up to two media within
that category will be invited to a second round of negotiations.
