Overview of Teaching Philosophy

My pedagogy is highly bound in the concept that 'every student is different', and I prioritise the
importance of understanding the individual and diverse ways that students think and learn. Having
three younger siblings, 13, 6, and 3 with very high special needs (ranging from physical and
intellectual disabilities, to social, learning and behavioural problems), has given me a lot of insight into
not only children, but children with additional needs, and has been equally the most challenging and
rewarding experience of my life. From personal and professional experiences over the last decade,
my knowledge of special needs, has provided me with a plethora of first-hand knowledge, resources,
and skills to equip me to assist not only special-needs children, but all children, in a variety of
circumstances.
