Everywhere in Vietnam you can see rice. Vietnamese people eat rice everyday in
their meals. Rice is part of their life and it reflects the Vietnamese culture. Nowadays,
technology is applied widely in producing rice and that helps much farmers and it is less
hard in farming work. Therefore the old traditional ways of producing rice is still kept
unchanged in some parts of the country as it is the basic work to have rice.
Hoi An Agritravel would like to help tourists understand the life of the
countryside people. You will see and talk to the local people. Join us to learn all about
rice: raking soil on the field; scooping water, transplanting rice, preparing cooking rice
We back you to the old life of our ancestors. You also help the farmers work on the field.
The local people instruct you all of the farming work, and that shows you the life of
people in the countryside of Vietnam.
Tour itinerary: (Maximum 20pax/trip)

Pick up guest(s) at the appointment by car to the farming family

Enjoy some Rice tea
Wear traditional farming shirt
Ride buffalo, do photo shooting with buffalo (30 minutes)
Join with local farmers to work on the field: ploughing soil, harrowing
soil, transplanting rice, scooping water with different scoopers (60
minutes)
Go to a farm house
Learn how to make white cooking rice: grinding paddy by husking mill,
winnowing rice, pounding & sifting rice; learning how to make rice milk
and cooking rice cake.
Have meal at the farm house with some specialties of the area: Fresh
spring Rolls, Fried Spring Rolls, Banh Xeo (Local pancake), Steamed rice,
Fish, Soup, Season fruits (45 minutes)
Farewell the farm family
Return home by car with tour guide
