Study circle 2 is one of the subjects that I take during my first year for first semester.

For
study circle 2 (CCHS 1012), I am required to do an assignment entitled Taaruf, Survey and
Dakwah or also known as TSD. The chief facilitator, Madam Nor Zainatul Amni bt Mohamad,
has given us choices to make it in a group or individually. As to challenge myself and my ability,
I have decided to do it individually. The instruction was given by the chief facilitator in the first
session of the mass lecture. She asked us to meet 10 female, Muslim students consisting of 5
Malaysians and 5 students from other countries. The first task that we have received is to get to
know them and it is called as taaruf. The next task that we need to do is to conduct a survey on
the basic questions such as whether they know that smiling is a sadaqah or whether they know
that it is encouraged for us to fast on Monday and Thursday. Then, the last task that we were
asked to execute is to do a dakwah on them, which is for instance, back to the example given for
the survey, if they did not know that smiling is a sadaqah, we can explain to them and give them
a valid and concrete evidence that can support our explanation. In this case, we can give any
verse from the Al-Quran or any authentic Hadith. Therefore, we can prove our statement and
convince the respondents.
First and foremost, I planned the time and the venue to conduct all the three tasks, the
materials to be used, the ways to approach people and the procedure to conduct the assignment. I
chose to conduct it at the library on Tuesday and Thursday as both are the two days that I am free
and I usually spend my time there. After a thorough searching and reading, I finally decided that
I want to do the first task by using a details form. The information that I asked from the students
are common information such as their names, courses, date or birth as well as their previous
school. Meanwhile, for the second task which is survey, I selected 5 Sunnatunnabiyyi to be
included and to be asked in the survey form. The content of the survey is as the following below:
PLEASE TICK YES OR NO. (SUNNATUNNABIYYI)
1. Do you know that it is a sunnah not to eat while leaning against something?
Yes ( )
No ( )
2. Do you know that it is a sunnah not to take back the present that we have given to
others?
Yes ( )
No ( )
3. Do you know that sickness is expiation for sins?
Yes ( )
No ( )
4. Do you know that it is a sunnah to clip your nails?
Yes ( )
No ( )
5. Do you know that it is a sunnah to be nice with your neighbors?
Yes ( )
No ( )

In addition, based on my experience while completing the three tasks, I found out that the
international students are more eager and excited in finishing the forms and knowing the new
knowledge. This is because I can see that they are more talkative and asking more questions
compared to the Malaysian students.
All in all, it is encouraged for us to follow Sunnatunnabiyyi. We will get rewards and help
from him in the day of judgement if we practice them. In order to practice them, we must first
know the hadith and sunnah. Hence, we need to read and study a lot about our beloved Prophet
(SAW) and bear in mind to seek the correct people such as the ustaz and ustazah and get the
reliable sources from the library not any websites from the Internet to prevent us from getting the
wrong ideas and information.
