"Teacher" y "professor" son lo mismo no entiendo por

que la diferencia
No son iguales: "professor" slo se refiere a un profesor universitario. Otros
profesores (de escuela primeria, de escuela secondaria, de msica, etc.) son
"teachers."

"Comer verduras es bueno."

un vistazo al uso del gerundio como sujeto de la oracin en ingls
cuando en espaol se utiliza el infinitivo.
Por ejemplo:
Mejorar mi ingls es necesario. = Improving my English is necessary. NO To
improve my English is necessary.
Aunque la frase empieza con infinitivo en espaol, no se comienza con infinitivo en
ingls sino con el gerundio.
Otro ejemplo:

Escuchar msica es mi pasatiempo favorito. Listening to music is my favourite

pastime.
Si empiezas la frase con el infinitivo, es como empezar con Para + infinitivo en
espaol. Por ejemplo:
To improve my English, I need to practise more. Para mejorar mi ingls, necesito
practicar ms.
El uso del gerundio como sujeto de la oracin no es algo extrao en espaol,
puesto que de vez en cuando se usa as. Por ejemplo:
Considerando todos los argumentos, estoy a favor de los cambios propuestos.
Considering all the arguments, Im in favour of the proposed changes.
Pero como ya he explicado, en ingls tambin se empieza la oracin con el
gerundio cuando sta se comienza con infinitivo en espaol:
Considerar todos los argumentos fue importante. Considering all the arguments
was important.

"Quiero que lo hagas."

Traduccin:I want you to do it.
I want that you do it, porque no lo acepta??
Cuando en una frase, cada parte tiene su sujeto, no es necesario poner 'that'. Ellos
entienden que 'that' va implcito. I want - yo quiero. You do it. T lo haces. El omitir
el that es algo comn en muchas frases.

"A dnde va el animal?"

Where does the animal go?
Por qu "Where is going the animal?" no es correcta?
Hola Laurinman. Porque has ubicado mal al verbo principal (going). Estructuras
con To be:
1.

Para enunciar (informar): Sujeto + To be + v. principal (-ing) +

complemento. Ejs.

-She is going to my house. (Ella va a mi casa).

-You are eating an apple. (Ests comiendo una manzana).

2.
Para preguntar: To be + sujeto + v. principal (-ing) + complemento?. Ejs.

-Is she going to my house? (Ella va a mi casa?).

-Are you eating an apple? (Ests comiendo una manzana?).

3.
Usando WH (where, who,...): WH + To be + sujeto + v. principal (-ing) [+
Complem.]? Ejs.

-WHO is going to my house? (QUIN va a mi casa?). Ella.

-WHERE is she going? (A DNDE va ella?). A mi casa.

-WHAT are you eating? (QU ests comiendo?). Una manzana.

-WHY are you eating an apple? (POR QU ests comiendo una

manzana?). Hambre! :)

Are you reading a book?: Ests leyendo un libro?

Usos:
Do you read a book? = Lees un libro, cuandoquiera?
Are you reading a book? = Ests leyendo un libro, en este momento?
Did you read a book? = Ley un libro?
Y para puntos extra:
Do you read books? = Tienes la costumbre de leer libros?

Se usa "to" para separar dos verbos seguidos en una misma oracin

No puede poner "to" entre un verbo modal (por ejemplo "can", "must" etc) y otro
verbo. Por ejemplo, no puede decir
You must to write a book = Debe escribir un libro
Deberia ser "you must write a book" (sin la palabra "to").

Usos del to: En realidad no, "to" antes de un verbo,

significa que est expresado de forma infinitiva o sea "estudiar". Por ejemplo "I am
studying" = "(Yo) estoy estudiando" hay 2 verbos juntos (am + studying) y no se
necesita el uso del to para "separarlos" porque no? Por que no esta expresado en
infinitivo.

He left the school at three o'clock el sali de la escuela a las tres en punto
his dogs need to eat bread and meat: Sus perros tienen que comer pan y carne.
