IMDT Indian Medicine Development Trust, over the years has been working towards
health and wellbeing of the underserved and marginalized individuals and
communities. Last year IMDT has been strategic with its development initiatives
and organizational growth .We have extended our geographic reach from Delhi to
UP state by implementing two projects on IDUs and Migrants both funded by Uttar
Pradesh State AIDS control society.
With our committed work and Professional approach of managing GRC in Chawri
Bazar, Govt of NCT of Delhi selected IMDT for implementing GRC project in Karol
Bagh area of Central District.
The total funds received in year 2012-2013 rose to Rs 7689037 from Rs 7069667 of
year 2011-2012.
While I present Annual Report for 2013-2014, I take the opportunity to thanks all our

IMDT was founded by the professionals of different fields, in the year 1997with a
sole objective of social development. It is a registered national level NGO under the
Indian Trust Act 1882. It is neither profit making nor political in nature.

Gender
Resource
Centre
(GRC) was established in
order to evolve strategies for
sustainable empowerment of
women in the field of health,
literacy, legal awareness and
skill development and greater
convergence
of
women
welfare
programme
and
activities of Government and
other agencies. It gives
special focus on enabling
women to access social
justice channels and redress
against violence and gender
discrimination. Through the
same
initiative,
single
window
information
&
facilitation centre has been
established
for
the
community women to provide
wider exposure of services
available
and
better
placement opportunities.
Through the services of GRC,
425 beneficiaries (girls and
women) were covered in
vocational trades of beauty
culture
and
cutting,
Embroidery and tailoring in
Chawri Bazar GRC and 415 in
Karol
Bagh
GRC
.Their
examination was conducted
with help of Jan Shikshan
Sansthan Prayas. The facility
of adult education, Nonformal education for illiterate
and remedial education for
school drop outs was also
provided and further linked
with
open
school
for
mainstreamed education.

Aid:
We
have
appointed a legal Lawyer and
counselor in our GRC to
provide free services to the
beneficiaries. The community
especially women cant afford
to give fees to lawyers and
suffer from traumas. To give
them peaceful life we have
also joint hands with DLSA. In

soap at critical times can
reduce the number of
diarrhea bouts by almost

hand-washing
practices have also been

trachoma,
scabies, skin and eye
infections and diarrhearelated
diseases
like
cholera and dysentery. The
promotion of hand-washing
with soap is also a key
strategy for controlling the
spread of Avian Influenza
