Performance of Thermal Power stations for the Year 2014-15

The Performance of thermal power stations for the period from April, 2014 to
March, 2015 is compared, based on the Tentative Monthly Generation Particulars
published by OPM Division of Central Electricity Authority and Utility-wise statement is
furnished in List-A followed by high performance thermal power stations in List-B.
Salient points among Utilities:
APGENCO (2810 MW) stood First with 80.71% PLF. TSGENCO (2282.5 MW) stood
Second among all State Sector Power Utilities with 80.31% PLF..
NLC Ltd (3240 MW) stood First among Central Power Utilities with 81.36% PLF.
NTPC Ltd (coal monitored 33015 MW) achieved 80.24% PLF.
Reliance Infra Ltd (500 MW) stood First among Private Power Utilities with 91.19%
PLF.
PLF of Southern Region power stations stood at 76.60%.
All India Average PLF is 65.11%.
Salient points among Thermal Power Stations:
Kakatiya TPP (500 MW) of TSGENCO stood First with 93.75% PLF among all state
sector power stations.
Talcher Old TPS (460 MW) with 93.90% PLF stood First among all NTPC stations
and all central sector power stations.
Dahanu TPS (500 MW) of RIL stood First with 91.19% PLF among all power stations
of private utilities.
Torangallu SBU 1 (260 MW) of JSWEL stood First with 97.82% PLF among stations
of all private IPPs.
Among 32 stations which achieved more than 80% PLF across the country, 12 are
from central sector, 8 from state sector, 6 from private utilities and 6 from private
IPPs.
