The special session of the United Nations general assembly on
the world drug problem or known as UNGASS 2016 envisions a better tomorrow for the worlds youth. One of the salient points discussed therein is regarding the subject of drugs and human rights, youth, women, children and communities, something which we are very much involved and must be empathetic about. This topic is discussed in the round table 3 emphasizing on the rehabilitation of the youth without being stigmatized by society. The problem which the victims of drugs usually face is the fear from being seen as a wreck from society, a stigma imposed upon those who want to come back and be with the society which gives them this prejudice. If we want a better future for the youth we must first see that they are the victims here rather than the criminal. We must accept that this is a battle between the people and those who use these children as instruments for this desctructive substance and only then can we truly fight off this evil.
