Key words:The Mastery Of Preposition Of Time And Place
This writing is conducted on the Mastery Of Preposition Of Time And Place By The Eighth Grade
Students Of SMP Negeri Puntaru In The School 2014 / 2015. To find out the mastery preposition
of time and place, the problem of this the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri Puntaru in the
school 2014 / 2015.
The study is focused to know the mastery level of preposition of time and place by the eighth
grade students of SMP Negeri Puntaru. The writer uses descriptive quantitative analysis because
it is suitable for is carrying out the study, There are, 96 students. And the writer took twenty
students as the sample, in collecting the data, The writer used a test that consist of 50 items, The
test is multiple choice, The result of the study indicated that most of students of SMP Negeri
Puntaru have mastered the preposition of time and place, because based on the students individual
score there is only one students with the score 80- 100, six students are in good with the score 7079, thirteen students are in fair, with the score 60-69, Besides that the means of students score is
6.6. And the mastery of preposition of time and place. Therefore, the mastery of the eighth grade
of SMP Negeri Puntaru in the school year 2014 / 2015 is classified into fair level.
