auxiliares).
As questions words mais comuns na lngua
inglesa so: WHERE, WHAT, WHY, WHEN,
HOW, WHO:

O WHERE utilizado quando iremos fazer uma
pergunta referente a um local por exemplo:
Where are you from? (De onde voc ?)
Where is the book? (Onde est o livro?)

O WHAT utilizado para perguntas de coisas em

geral por exemplo:
Whats your name? (Qual seu nome?)
Whats your favorite day of the week? (Qual o seu dia
favorito da semana?)

razo / o porque de alguma coisa, exemplo:
Why is he running? (Por que ele est correndo?)

O WHEN sempre usado quando nos referimos a

tempo, por exemplo:
When is your birthday? (Quando o seu aniversrio?)
When are we going to the farm? (Quando ns vamos

significado como, exemplo:

significado quem, e utilizado para fazer

Para perguntar as horas podemos falar:
Whats the time? ou
What time is it?.

Usamos a forma Its + time para dizer que

horas so e quando for a hora exata
acrescentamos oclock.
Ex.: Its seven oclock. (So sete horas.)
Ex.: Its midday. ( meio-dia.)
Ex.: Its midnight. ( meia-noite.)

Para indicar que as horas so antes ou depois
de meio-dia usamos as abreviaes a.m.
(antes do meio-dia) e p.m. (depois do meiodia).
Ex.: Its eight a.m. (So oito da manh.)
Ex.: Its five p.m. (So cinco da tarde.)

Dates
Por exemplo, a data 13 de maio pode ser escrita das
seguintes formas:
May 13 13 May May 13th 13th May

Geralmente a forma de pronunciar , May the thirteenth ou

the thirteenth of May.
Mas nos Estados Unidos, algumas vezes se diz May
thirteen.
Ex.: 07/09/1995: The seventh of September 1995.
Ex.: August 12 2003: August the 12th 2003.
Ex.: 1st March 2008: The first of March 2008.

J a forma abreviada existe apenas duas, a do ingls

britnico, que igual brasileira: 13/5. E a do ingls
americano que 5/13.
