CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

COLLEGE OF TEACHER EDUCATION
DMATHITINIKS CLUB

PREAMBLE
We, the bonafide members of DMathitiniks Club imploring the aid of Almighty God in order to
build an effective worthwhile society under the democratic role of government.

ARTICLE 1
NAME AND DOMICILE
Section 1

This organization shall be known as DMathitiniks Club.

Section 2

The office of DMathitiniks Club shall be permanently situated at the College of

Teacher Education building.

ARTICLE II
DECLARATION OF OBJECTIVES
Section 1

To develop unity, initiative and leadership among its members.

Section 2

To discover and enhance hidden talents among its members.

Section 3

To develop camaraderie and friendship among its members.

Section 4

To help prepare efficient and the dignified professional in the field of

Mathematics.

ARTICLE III
MEMBERSHIP AND MEMBERSHIP FEES
Section 1

Students who are enrolled in BSEd-Mathematics Major shall automatically be

members of the organization.

Section 2

Students who are not enrolled in BSEd-Mathematics Major but are willing to join
the organization can be accommodated.

Section 3

The official members of the organization shall be paying twenty-five pesos

(Php 25.00) as their membership fee.

Section 4

Members shall be obliged to pay membership fee annually.

Section 5

Payment of membership fee shall be collected by the treasurer.

Section

The membership fee shall serve as the organizations fund to support its projects.

Section 6

Membership shall automatically be terminated upon graduation from the course,

dropping or transferring to other learning institution.

ARTICLE IV
OFFICERS OF THE ORGANIZATION
Section 1

The organization shall be managed by:

Section 2

Each of the above mentioned officers shall hold office for one year.

Section 3

The term of office of each officer shall commence immediately after his election
by the DMathitiniks members in the assembly.

Section 4

A faculty adviser shall be elected by the members of the organization.

ARTICLE V
QUALIFICATION / FUNCTION OF OFFICER
Section 1

The officer of the organization in general shall give the following qualification:
a. Must be a bonafide student of the Cagayan State University at Lal-lo
b. Must possess leadership capability and intellectual power
c. Must show dedication and interest toward advancement of knowledge and
skills among the youth.
d. Must be able to preside over meetings in the absence of the office of higher
rank.

Section 2

THE PRESIDENT
a. Presides in all meeting of council assembly
b. Attend council meetings.
c. Help implement memos and directives from the college and the school
administration.
d. Exercise other function as may created by the law.

Section 3

THE VICE- PRESIDENT

Presides in every legislative meeting

Presides the meeting in absence or incapability of the President.
Assists the President in the administering the all affairs of the organization.
Performs other duties as may be directed

THE SECRETARY

a. Keeps an accurate record of the minute of the meeting of the assembly

b. Keep as accurate records of the attendance in DMathitiniks Club activities.
(program, class work, athletics, etc.)
c. Prepare formal communication of the organization.
Section 5

THE FINANCE SECRETARY

a. Be the principal budgetary office of DMathitiniks Club.
b. Make and present the proposed semester budget with the endorsement
majority of the executive body.
c. Keep detailed records of all property and financial expenditures of the
legislative body and to the commission on audit.
d. Present a semester financial and property account statement to the legislative
body ad to the commission on audit.
e. Be the co-signatory of the President to the account of the DMathitiniks Club.

Section 6

THE REPRESENTATIVES
a. See to it that the members rights are being safeguarded.
b. Sponsor projects and activities that enable to increase the members
participation to both academic and co-curricular development.
c. Initiate spearhead project and activities designed for further development of
the members potentials of its specialize field of interest.

Section 7

THE ADVISER
a. Help audit all funds of the organization every after semester.
b. Perform other duties as may be directed

ARTICLE VI
ELECTION OF OFFICER

Candidate of the different elective position shall be elected by the majority (50%
+1) of the members of the assembly.
The election of the office shall be done through nomination and rising of hands or
standing.
The election shall be held on the first month of the school year.

ARTICLE VII
Section 1

Regular meetings shall be held every first Tuesday of the month.

Section 2

Special meetings shall be called by the President when the need arises.

Section 3

The presence of the majority of the members shall constitute a quorum.

Section 4

Parliamentary procedures shall be used to facilitate transaction of business and

avoid delay on the deliberation of issues.

Section 5

This constitution and by-laws shall take effect after its ratification by its
members thus needing a majority votes.
