Students are permitted to have a guest for

lunch beginning on October 3rd. Please do
not call the school to have lunch with your

Students will be asked to bring in a picture of them reading their

Behavior Chart

Upstander T-shirt Order Forms

Be sure to be checking your childs chart

each evening! It is a great way to
communicate what is going on in school. If
they are having a great day, praise them for
it. If they received marks, talk about what
they can do to be more successful tomorrow.
If you have a question, do not hesitate to
contact your childs teacher through email or
by phone. We are working together to help
your child reach his or her fullest potential!

If you are interested in purchasing a new shirt for your student, please
visit the link below to Beattys Sports to order a shirt. All orders will be
picked up at Beattys Sports.

Pop Tab Collections

The Nimishillen Grange is continuing to collect pop tabs for the Ohio State
Grange Deaf and Hard of Hearing Committee. The money collected from
recycling the tabs goes to several deaf schools in Ohio. Each class is
challenged to collect the most tabs. The class with the most pop tabs will
win a pizza party sponsored by the Grange. Total sheets are on display at
North Nimishillen School and Louisville Elementary.

Student Attendance
It is critical for all children to be in attendance at school daily. We do
realize that from time to time children do get ill, and they should be home.
Excusable reasons to keep your child home would be; running a
temperature, vomiting, infection that has not been treated with antibiotics
for at least 24 hours, funerals, or doctor appointments that cannot be
made outside of school time.
You must phone the 24 hour Hotline at (330)875-7610 or call the
school at (330)875-1177 before 9:30 am to report your child off of school.
When reporting your child off of school, you may also request for
homework to be sent home with another student or you can pick it up in
the office between 3:30-4:15. Upon return to school, the student must
bring a written excuse or doctors slip for an absence to be
considered excused.
th
Students with excessive absences will receive a letter after the 15
day. If a student misses more than 15 days of school, he or she will be
put on attendance watch. Attendance watch is a program where
absences are only excused with a medical excuse. This is all because for
your child to get the most out of school they must attend school on a
regular basis.
