Lieutenant Governor to visit Guelph


Toronto, September 26, 2016. Her Honour the Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of
Ontario, will conduct a series of activities during an official visit to Guelph on September 27 and 28,
2016. The visit is part of Her Honours continued program of travel to communities in Ontario.
Itinerary

Tuesday, September 27, 2016
12:30 p.m. Visit to the University of Guelph
University Centre, 50 South Ring Road East, Guelph
Following a private lunch with the president and administrators of the University of Guelph, the
Lieutenant Governor will participate in a roundtable at the Food Institute. Her Honour will then join
student and faculty members during a roundtable focusing on work in the voluntary sector at the
Aboriginal Resource Centre at the Federal Building.

4 p.m. Lecture
MacKinnon Building, 87 Trent Lane, Guelph
The Lieutenant Governor will address students enrolled in Environmental Politics and Governance, a
third-year course taught by Professor Ajay Sharma. Her Honour will then participate in a question and
answer session with students.

5:30 p.m. Reception at Presidents House
100 College Avenue East, Guelph
The Lieutenant Governor will address a reception hosted by the President of the University of Guelph
and the Mayor of Guelph. Representatives of local businesses and civil society in Guelph will be among
those in attendance.

Following a courtesy call with Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie, the Lieutenant Governor will join local
leaders in environmental, business, and voluntary sectors during a roundtable focusing on sustainability
in energy, food, waste management, and water.
