Current Position
Presenting On Hannibal's Trail, a six part television series due to air in September 2010
on BBC Television involving bicycling three thousand miles from Spain to Tunisia
while telling the story of the ancient Carthaginian general, Hannibal, in his epic war

Presenting a television series, On Hannibal's Trail, from the seat of a bicycle while
crossing Europe's highest mountain chain.
Writing a successful history documentary proposal for a major BBC television series.

Reporting on newsworthy events in Spain for all BBC news bulletins and programs on
BBC Radio, Television and Online. The job involved presenting, writing, editing and
mixing all types of television and radio packages and broadcasting live in the field
under tight deadlines.
Highlights:
Covering all aspects of the financial crisis and its impact on Spain, including the
housing market crash.
Reporting from Madrid during the March 11, 2004 train bomb attacks by Islamic
militants.
Reporting on the ongoing campaign by the militant, Basque, separatist group ETA for
an independent homeland.
Reporting on the Prestige oil tanker spill, Spain's worst environmental disaster.
Covering soccer star David Beckham's stay with Real Madrid Football Club.
Also Spain correspondent for the international services of other broadcasters including
German Radio, Dutch Radio, France24 and ABC Radio Australia.
Selecting news stories, recording and editing interviews and briefing presenters for the
programs Newshour and The World Today.
Presenting a national, overnight current affairs and talk-back program on ABC Local
Radio, from the Sydney ABC studios.
Presenting a daily, two and-a-half hour morning news and current affairs program from
the Tamworth ABC studios in New England, Australia.
Highlight:
Chairing a series of live debates involving the political candidates in Australia's New
South Wales 1999, State election.
