Christmas Bottle ShakerBadge

For the Twinklers, do all these activities:

1.

Let each Twinkler bring to the meeting some musical

instruments she already has at home. Where this is not
possible, they can show pictures of other instruments not
presented at the meeting. Form a Twinklers rhythm band. Let
the girls choose their instruments and give instructions on
when to play them. Perfection may not be our aim; rather we
aim at giving the Twinklers the chance to express themselves,
to follow their sense of rhythm and to work together.
2.
Let the Twinklers use the objects they found to accompany
the rhythm of some songs. Let them sway or hop in time with
the beat. Let them dance and sway in music, and share the
joy of dancing and making music with the whole troop.
3. Play different music with your Twinklers. Let them physically express how the
music makes them feel: run fast music, tiptoe for soft music, hop, and bounce for
happy music; march with parade tune, and so on.

Materials:
empty water/soda plastic bottle
dried seeds
marked/colored pens
Directions:
1. Put the seeds or pebbles in the empty
bottle.
2. Decorate the bottles as you wish in relation to Christmas.

I Am Me Badge
This badge aims to help the girl take the basic steps towards developing positive
self-image. Knowing about ones self and sharing the knowledge with
others can bring out self-confidence in the girl. Encourage the Twinklers
to discover what their personal characteristics are; their likes and
dislikes; and the positive thoughts and feelings that will help them grow
up beautifully. Show the girls how to be thankful for what they have, how
to make use of their good points, and how to correct the negative points.
Ask the Twinklers to tell others in their troop what they wish to give their
mother, father, brothers, or sisters as birthday presents. This will develop a sense of
gratitude to persons who are part of their lives.
Twinklers can sing these songs:
ME
I have 10 little fingers and 10 little toes (hold up ten fingers)
Two little arms and one little nose (raise arms and then
point to nose)
One little mouth and two little ears (point to mouth and
ears)
Two little eyes for smiles and tears (everyone smile)
One little head and two little feet (shake head and feet)
One little chin; thats ME, complete! (hold up arms)
