MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Insert the coaxial cable with the correct connector (PL259 or N-Type), fitted to it through the bracket, and connect on the underside of the chromed
base of the antenna.
2. Seal the connector against weather using a suitable self vulcanising tape.
3. Slide the Chromed base into the mounting bracket and secure with the screws that are provided.
4. Put a drop of Locktite (we recommend grade 243) onto the threaded sections on the end of the radials, insert them into their respective holes and
tighten using a pair of adjustable pliers.
5. Place the U-bolts around the mast, through the holes in the mounting bracket and tighten with the nuts that are provided.
6. Tuning of the antenna is achieved by adjusting the length of the main radiating element, see the length versus frequency chart. To tune loosen the
screw on the aluminium lock ring and slide the inner tube to the correct length. Firmly tighten the screw on the loc ring making sure that the inner
tube is firmly held in position. The cutting chart is just a guide, for fine tuning use a VSWR meter.
7. No weather seal is required on the radiating elements as water drain holes are made to drain any moisture or condensate out of the vertical
radiating elements.
8. The antenna is designed for mast top mounting. It can be used for stand off mounting by rotating the U-bolts 90 degrees and inserting them
vertically through the mounting bracket.
