Apollo Hospitals Dhaka is the only JCI Accredited 450-bed multi-disciplinary super-specialty tertiary

care super specialty hospital on March 30, 2005. Its affiliation with the prestigious

Dedicated to providing multidisciplinary medical care and backed by state-of-the-art facilities, Apollo

the most modern Radiology and Nuclear Medicine service in the country, with equipment that is faster
and capable of conducting a wide range of examinations with a higher degree of detail. This is in addition
to EEG, EMG, neurophysiology, ECG, stress test, pulmonary function test, etc. Our international standard
Lab Medicine conducts External Quality Control Program with Bio-Rad, USA and offers a variety of
modern tests and diagnostic tools, some of which are not available anywhere else in Bangladesh, with

IN-PATIENT, CRITICAL CARE & DAY CARE
The hospital serves its patients with a variety of in-patient bed/room choices, including standard, semiprivate, single private, deluxe, super deluxe, and suite, providing a range of in-patient facilities. Apollo
Hospitals Dhaka provides total Critical Care support with ten critical care units and over 100 beds; we
have High Dependency Unit (HDU), Surgical ICU, Neuro ICU (NICU), Cardiothoracic ICU (CT ICU),
Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Post CCU, Intensive CCU (ICCU), Kidney Transplant Unit (KTU), Neonatal
ICU, and Medical ICU (MICU). We also have a number Day Care Unit under different Departments, a
unique wing of the hospital to help patients with specific need-based treatment in an out-patient basis.

Our highly certified, skilled, experienced, and dedicated Consultants at Apollo Hospitals Dhaka are
performing some very complicated surgeries and procedures. To name a few: renal transplant, CRRT,
cochlear implant, total hip and knee replacement, beating heart surgery, repair of congenital cardiac
defects in adults and children, radial angiogram, RTPA, endoscopic neurosurgeries, laser surgeries in
dermatology and ENT. A total of 35,306 surgeries have been successfully completed in Apollo Hospitals
Dhaka by our renowned and highly skilled surgeons since our beginning. The hospital has nine state-ofthe-art operating rooms with the best infection control system in the country.
PIONEER IN EMERGENCY HANDLING
Apollo Hospitals Dhaka is the pioneer in Bangladesh in establishing a functional well-equipped Accident
& Emergency Centre, which deals with all kinds of emergencies less than one roof 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week. The Centre is managed by UK-qualified Consultant, experienced in Emergency Medicine. The
Centre has eight dedicated emergency beds, as well as four triage beds. In case of any emergency, one call
is enough to avail our ambulance pick-up round-the-clock. Our fleet of ambulance is well-equipped and
manned by trained emergency technicians and paramedics. We have Toyota and Mercedes-Benz ICU
ambulances with life support equipment including ventilators. Moreover, being near the international and
domestic airports, we can commute with emergency patients to-and-fro very fast from the airport to the
hospital premises at times of need. Apollo Hospitals Dhaka is also the official partner of Civil Aviation

Authority of the Government of Bangladesh in Disaster Management Protocol; hence, we participate in

regular Fire Drill Workshops.

JCI accreditation
Apollo Hospitals Dhaka is the only JCI Accredited tertiary care hospital in
Bangladesh. JCI (Joint Commission International) is an independent, non-profit
organization which is dedicated to improving the quality of health care around the
world through voluntary accreditation. JCI evaluates and accredits more than 300
public and private health care organizations in 39 countries. JCI sets standards for
hospitals are focused on one goal: raising the safety and quality of care to the
highest possible level. JCIs uniform, high standards are designed to be adaptable to
local needs; thus, accommodating the legal, religious and cultural factors within a
country. JCI Accredited means that a hospital has met the international standards
set by JCI. This only happens after the hospital has been visited by JCI surveyors
who thoroughly check that the hospital is following these standards every day.
Apollo Hospitals Dhaka was visited by JCI surveyors, and awarded with JCI
accreditation in 2008 and re-accreditation in June, 2011.
