3.3.9 from disc to data: This is a great resource for those who really love music.

In this
step of the project we are going to review the rock history, the teacher divide the class
into small groups, each group must write some questions about what they could see in
the video presented before; who, what, where, when, and how asking for information
about the top ten rock bands, After that each group present the information collected in
front of the rest of the class and jointly the students start to build the history of those rock
bands finally, students will present a timeline of the top ten rock bands. This step is very
important because we have already implied that using familiar stories facilitates the
learning process.
3.3.10 Music survey:
At this stage of our project, students will represent an interview, where one of the
students assume the role of interviewer and the other members of the group assume the
role of the members of the rock band; the roll of our interviewer is to plan and structure
some questions in order to receive and collect the most accurate data about the rock
band. The role of the rest of the group is to answer the most effective way to questions
asked by our interviewer. The respondents have an opportunity to discuss about
important key topics. Communicate with the members of the band about the survey
topic. They must take in turn to ask and answer the questions. When they have finished
the rest of the class feedback their observations about the performance and actuation of
their classmates. The interview results provide a snapshot of the attitudes and behaviors
including thoughts, opinions, comments and performance of the interview. This valuable
feedback is the baseline to measure and establish a benchmark for each group.
3.3.11 start a fan club:
I am a faithful follower of my favorite rock band and I decided to found a club the fans as
a tribute to them. But before, I have to think in how to start a fan club? Starting a fan club
isnt like starting just any regular fan club. It takes a lot of time and effort. Which are the
benefits of starting a fan club? We have to take into account the following aspects to
perform our fan club; think about the following statements and write the items to
establish your own fan club.
1. Will you have the time?
Whether you start a fan club as a hobby or for a profit, it takes a lot of time to run - so
review how much time in your day you have to spare.
2. Do you have the money to spare?
Fan Clubs, especially the offline ones takes lots of money to run and
it costs money to set up a fan club. Do not depend on the Celebrity to pay you, mostly
they don't. Most Fan Clubs do not make money - they only cover the costs!
3. Official or unofficial?
Official is better, but sometimes the only way to start a fan club is unofficial! Before
starting an unofficial fan club, you should at least try to make it official!
4. Why do you want to run a club?
Think about this very carefully. Maybe you have a desire to meet the celebrity, well think
again: Many club presidents have never met their celebrity. You should run a club

because you like the celebrity/show etc. and want to meet other fans to share
information about the celebrity.
5. What my club will offer?
Think what your club will offer and how much to charge for it. Whatever you choose, you
have to offer some kind of publications: A newsletter is the most common, and photo's,
membership cards and maybe something like stickers.
6. Do i have the equipment and resources?
The most common thing is a computer or typewriter. A talent for writing will also help.
7. Do you like dealing with people?
You will work with people all the time - this is not a maybe but a must. If you don't like
working with people then don't start a club!
8. If the fan club brings in fewer members than you projected, will you still want to
run it?
Do not think about 1000's of members. Most clubs average about 80-150 members.
9. Are you willing to commit yourself to running a club?
You cannot cancel everything after 8 months or so. Running a club takes a lot of
commitment!
10. Will you run the club by yourself or with other people?
Be careful who you work with. Todays friend can be tomorrows enemy. Choose your
partner/s carefully to avoid staff problems later!
3.3.12 the fame game.

There are a few things you should consider before deciding

to start a fan club. I strongely recommend buying and
reading the FAN CLUB GUIDE, published by the NAFC. It is
not at all expensive and this guide will help you a lot - even
after you started your club.!

The fame game
It is a game contest between two groups, is based on questions and answers about
celebrities. The aim of this contest is to obtain the maximum fame points and still be
there at the end of the game. The game has to phases; in the first phase players are in
front of the board and the game is going to start, and the presenter says; now it is time to
flip a coin to decide who plays first. The questions are asked by the presenter of the
contest, these questions are about today 's world of celebrities; in the second phase
Alternatively, the presenter gets the students to write the questions themselves. Each
group writes a set of 30 questions. Flips the coin again and who wins the turn asks a
question to another group, they cannot answer their own questions so miss their turn.
Which group knows more about celebrities?, the game is won by the group with more
successes.
In the second part of this assignment we try to implement and adapt the steps proposed
in the music project created and edited by Robert Campbell; this adaptation will take
place at the University Simon Bolivar of Barranquilla. We are going to try to adapt step
by step of this project take into account the most relevant aspects and our specific
context. This project provides a series of activities, which could be used to induce new
learning sources. We think that it would be a very useful material to improve the second
language acquisition; we have found that students enjoy and retain more when they are
immersed in a real context with activities which motivate and innovate themselves.
This project adaptation will also provide some examples of task and projects based
learning which could be used to induce new materials in a specific cultural context in this
case students of University Simon Bolivar of Barranquilla.
To conclude, we can say that during the analysis and adaptation of this project jut some
useful aspects that should be taken into account; is evident that learning based in tasks
and projects encourage the teamwork along the every project and in many class
activities; this kind of work promotes cooperation and competence, students are

conscious about the importance of valuing diversity and respecting others perceptions
and preferences.
