Description of the learner: The clients are a combination of pediatrics, young adults, adults and geriatrics, with different health
condition. Some of them are from the low land provinces like Pangasinan, but majority are from Benguet. They all came to the
department with different health complaints and wanted to be treated by the health care providers. These clients are being treated into
the different designated rooms according to what body organ is affected. Most of them are exposed to smoke from cigarettes, vehicles,
pollution, etc.

Learning need: To understand the causes, prevention and treatment for tuberculosis.

Learning Style: The clients who come to the department could follow when guided. They will be very cooperative as the topic that will
be discussed is very relevant for the whole. Simplest terms will be used so that everyone will understand and the information that they
will get from the lecture will add up to their knowledge.

Paano kumakalat ang TB?
Ang mga mikrobyo ng TB ay iwiniwisik sa hangin kapag ang isang taong may sakit na TB sa kanyang mga baga ay umuubo, nagsasalita,
kumakanta, tumatawa o bumabahin. Sinumang nasa malapit ay makakalanghap ng mikrobyo ng TB papasok sa kanilang mga baga.
Hindi ka mahahawa ng TB sa pakikipagkamay, paggamit ng mga baso o lagayan ng pagkain ng ibang mga tao, o mula sa mga upuan sa
banyo.

Gaano katagal na kailangang uminom ako ng gamot?
Upang gumaling, iinumin mo ang iyong mga gamot ng hindi kukulangin sa 6 na buwan. May mga taong maaaring mangailangan ng gamot
hanggang 2 taon.
Napakahalagang inumin ang lahat ng iyong gamot hanggang itinatagubilin ng iyong tagapagkaloob ng pangangalagang pangkalusugan.
Bakit ako may-sakit?
Ikaw ay may sakit na TB dahil ang mga mikrobyo ng TB ay nagsisimulang dumami sa iyong katawan. Puwede kang magkaroon ng sakit na TB
sa iyong mga baga o ibang mga bahagi ng iyong katawan tulad ng bato, utak, o gulugod.
Paano ako gagaling?
Kung nagkaroon ka ng sakit ng TB, kailangan mong magpagamot. Ang sakit na TB ay ginagamot ng maraming gamot na magkakasabay na
iniinom. Sa karamihan ng mga kaso, pinapatay ng mga gamot na ito ang mga mikrobyo ng TB sa iyong katawan.
Ano ang TB?
Ang TB ay maikli para sa sakit na tinatawag na tuberkulosis. Nagagawa ng TB na umatake sa anumang bahagi ng katawan, pero ito ay
pinakamadalas na umaatake sa mga baga.
Ang Tuberkulosis (TB) ay isang sakit na bunga ng impeksiyon ng bakterya (mikrobyo) Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
Ang TB ay maaaring makasira sa baga o sa ibang bahagi ng katawan ng tao at maging sanhi ng malubhang sakit.
