11 New Industrial estates in the 10 Districts of Odisha

This year IDCO has taken initiative to establish 11 New Industrial estates in the 10 Districts of Odisha. 383 acres in Angul, 1220 acres in Balasore , 2948 acres in Cuttack, 232 acres in Jharsuguda, 354 acres in Sambalpur, 1317 acres in Jagatsinghpur, 1153 acres in Khurda, 230 acres in Sundargarh, 327 acres in Bhadrak, 142 acres in Dhenkanal and 240 acres in Ganjam will be used for development of MSME and Ancillary Down Stream Industries said Industries Minister, Sri Debi Prasad Mishra in the Assembly. Minister Sri Mishra also said that, Sea Food Park at Deras to facilitate development of the Sea Food Processing Industry in the State is being developed with an investment of Rs. 116.43 crore over an area 100 acre. This project is expected to complete this year. Aluminium Park to establish downstream & ancillary units at Angul with an projected investment of Rs.172.55 crore over an area 450 acre will be developed in joint venture with NALCO. Plastic Polymer and Allied Cluster Park at Paradeep with an projected investment of Rs.l06 crore over an area 120 acre will be developed. A polypropylene complex with a proposed investment of Rs.3150 crore will also be taken up under PCPIR by IOCl this year. Electronics Manufacturing Cluster (EMC) Hardware Park, Bhubaneswar as part of the IT investment region with an projected infrastructure investment of Rs.209 crore over an area 215 acre is being developed. Common Rail Corridor for Talcher and Ib Valley Coal bearing area for evacuation of coal from the coal blocks located in Talcher and Ib Valley Region of the State, IDCO is developing a common Rail Corridor Project. For the Talcher Region, preparation of detail project report and financial feasibility study are on final stage of completion. IDCO has formed the SPV under the banner of Brahmani Railways Ltd. for the implementation of common Rail Corridor Project for the Angul-Talcher Coal bearing Area. Land Acquisition for the first phase of the project has been initiated. The project cost of the first phase is Rs.5000 Crore. This corridor shall cater to more than 10 trains per day. For the Ib Valley land bearing area, selection of consultants is in process for preparation of DPR.
IDCO has developed Kalinganagar Industrial Complex on 13000
acres where in major steel companies have their units. Government of Odisha is contemplating to develop this complex as National Investment Manufacturing Zone under the National Manufacturing Policy of Government of India. The major proposal at Kalinganagar NIMZ are Steel & Aluminium Downstream Park, New Industrial Township, Central Business District with office, Commercial and recreational activities, Common Tool Rooms,Technical Training Institutions and Support internal infrastructure. Odisha Special Investment Region Act will be formulated by this fiscal year. The draft bill has been prepared. Based on the development of Dhamra port and upcoming LNG Terminal facility by IOCl at Dhamra, Government is contemplating to develop a Special Investment Region spread over 10000 acres of land. A special Act has also been prepared. The SIR shall delineated zone for Industrial, social, logistics, residential etc. It shall create opportunity for manufacturing industries in the Sector of Downstream in Aluminium and Steel, Fertilizer and other Gas based Industries and Wood based Industries etc. World Trade Centre will be constructed by the side of Fortune Tower at Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar which will create a platform for boosting and networking industries, trade, exports through 130 centres in different countries. Convention-cum- Trade Zone at Janata Maidan, Chandrasekharpur, Bhubaneswar with capacity of 4000 single Auditorium, also smaller capacity Conference Halls of 1200 and .600 capacity. All: the nearby big Hotels will be connected to Convention Centre through Sky Walk.( Proposed investment approx RS.550 crores).This convention and allied facilities will be first of kind in India and even better than Hyderabad convention centre which is the benchmark today. Construction of Commercial Complex at Paradeep and Kalinganagar Ouburi consisting of Shopping Complex, Inox, Food Court and Office space with investments of approx Rs.25 crores each. It is contemplated for establishment for Multi storied Commercial Complex (24 storied iconic building) on joint venture with Odisha Khadi & Village Industries Board (OK & VIB) at Kharavelanagar, Bhubaneswar with and investment of RS.170 crores in PPP mode.
