working or even due to a heavy traffic may affect the project. And thats why they also
work during at night because there were no more Bus, Van, or Truck that passes
through the road.
The limitation of these project is they must dont over pass the space and the
road that they do not occupy to work on. There limitation of the project is only where the
drainage is needed to fix to be able that they cannot disturb the traffic that leads the
road very heavy. The project is located the corner of the apitong street up to the
maharlika highway near the other barangay of apitong. The workers only stays at the
area where they assign to work. And also they limit the use of the road while having a

Work summary
The work accomplished into the preceding period (s) on the time we went there,
they make a hole, and they use a water pump to lessen the amount of water so that
they can continue to work for the flooring.
The currently being performed, they are pumping the water again to lessen the
amount of the water, and put a wood for the foundation, and make a wall side by side
for the next step of box culvert they are making.
The work planned for the next period(s), at the time we go at apitong they are
mixing the cement using the cement mixer, and the next step covering the box culvert
using the cement they mix, and last leveling the box culvert on the road.
SNAGS
As the construction of maharlika drainage system is on process, workers have
been dealing with problem that leads job difficulty, slow and low workforce. By that, Mr.
Julius Arevalo, the foreman, and Engineer Christian Acedilla intended to find alternative
ways to minimize the effect of the problems.
TRAFFIC
The project is a crossing pipe line from Apitong Street to Ninoy Aquino Avenue as
we observed in the image below. And because of this, they are expecting an eight-way
traffic in the different intersection and surely will be a great burden to them and too
many people that would be affected. In solution to the problem, they have to work until
night time and sometimes they do a 24-hours construction.
WEATHER CONDITION
Another issue is the weather condition because whenever it rains, the portion
that they were constructing for a box culvert was always filled with water rain. That is
why they cannot do a full blast workforce and they always have to pump out the water to
start again the construction.
