OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT

4.1

Summary of Experiences and Skills

During my training, many new experiences and skills that I had gained at
Malaysian Nuclear Agency, especially knowledge and development about wind rose and
radionuclide. The project exposes me to know more details the correlation between wind
direction and radiation. However, the project that my supervisor have been provide to
me quite challenging because it is about chemistry, modeling and environment. For 10
week at Malaysian Nuclear Agency, I also climb to the roof of chimney to analysis the
flow of the stack monitoring system and wind direction. For me this experience is so
priceless because it gives me a new knowledge about this industrial and also gives me
opportunity to search this field to continue my job base on these experiences.

For skills I got it based on my gained knowledge during develop this project. All
these knowledge actually helped me a lot during running this project. Furthermore, I had
learned analysis the data with using Microsoft Excel. I also got improve my

programming during develop panel for calculation. Other than that, I am

also had developing my soft skills during my practical especially in communications
with the professional. I have become more confident during talking with the
professional and it also makes me improve my thinking skills and scientific approach.

4.2

Contribution of Student to the Organization

Talk about my contribution to the organization, it is more for helping them to do

their research especially my supervisor research. I was given the task to insert data in
Microsoft Excel, plot the wind rose, calculate the concentration of radiation in air and
manually model radionuclide dispersion modeling. That is a few part of my contribution
to make the research become easier to run.

4.3

Contribution of Organization toward Student

Throughout my industrial training, the Malaysian Nuclear Agency has given me

an opportunity to handle and do the parts of the wind rose research that I had never do
and operate before this. In addition, they also give me a new knowledge about the latest
information, technique and method for this research that correlation to the radiation of
nuclear.

4.4

Problem Faced

There were problems that I had faced during the industrial training. One of them
is exposes knowledge of the project. My project about the wind rose, radionuclide and
modeling but I not expose about that before this in my subject learning. The problem
comes in a first day my supervisor explained about the project. First day I heard about
this project I feel so nervous and not confident to handle this project because lack
knowledge about wind rose and modeling. Alhamdulillah, I got motivation from my
supervisor to help me be strong and positive that I can handle this project. In one week
of training, I searching all the article and journal to gain my knowledge. Finally, I got
finished my work but not yet completed because I could not finish creating modeling.
However, Alhamdulillah from zero now I really understand about this field. Thank you
for my supervisor for gives me motivation to be a professional in this field.
