YARN: Kenzie DK by Hikoo (50%

SHAWL: With MC, CO 3 sts

New Zealand merino, 25% nylon,


10% angora, 10% alpaca, 5% silk
noils; 50g/160 yds) MC: 2 skeins
1018 Seal, CC: 1 skein 1022
Ruapahu
NEEDLES: 4.50mm circular needle
with minimum 32 cable
TOOLS/NOTIONS: Tapestry needle
for weaving in ends.

Next row: Knit.


Next row: (K1, yo) 4 times, k1 (4 sts inc)9 sts.
Next row: Knit.
Shawl Shaping:
Row 1 (RS): K2, (yo)twice, (k1, yo) 2 times, k to last 4
sts, (yo, k1) 2 times, (yo)twice, k2 (8 sts inc.)
Next row and all WS rows: Knit, working k 1 into the
first yarn-over and p1 into the second yarn-over.

GAUGE: 20 sts and 48 rows = 4/10

Continue to increase in this manner until there are 297

cm in garter st after blocking.

in garter stitch (knit every
row) from the top down with
8 stitches increased every RS

Set-up row: (RS) K1, yo, k1, yo, k1 (2 sts inc)5 sts

Border: With CC, work as follows:


Eyelet Row: K 2, * k2, yo * repeat to last 3 sts, end k 3
Next Row: Sl 1 wyif, without moving yarn to back, knit
the next stitch creating a natural yarn over, knit to end
of row working the yarn over and the last stitch
together as one stitch.
Continue to work in this manner until 7 garter ridges
have been worked (14 rows in total)
