report on achievements towards reaching a sustainable
balance between fishing capacity and fishing opportunities
(Commission Regulation (EC) No 1438/2003);
vii) Providing advice regarding economic aspects and
input as may be required for the preparation of instruction
notes, reports, draft EU non-papers, proposals for council

Development in the General Government Sector;
xi) Participating in the development and updates of the
Fisheries Integrated System database;
xii) Representing the Department of Fisheries and
Aquaculture at local and international conferences, meetings
and workshops as required;
xiii) Participating at the fish market during sales of fish
taking place at the early hours of the morning and during
onboard observations which can span up to 24 hours in order
to gain the experience required;
xiv) Performing other duties as assigned by the Director
and/or his/her representative;
xv) Any other duties according to the exigencies of
the Public Service, as directed by the Principal Permanent
Secretary.
