Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information and inspect tender documents at
Procurement office, County Government of Meru during normal working hours.
1.1 A complete set of tender documents can be obtained by interested candidates upon payment of
non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 payable in cash at the Meru County Cash Office. Interested
Bidders are requested to attend a pre-tender site visit on Tuesday, 6th September 2016 at 10.00
a.m.
1.2 Only bidders who meet the criteria, which must be demonstrated by attaching relevant
documentary evidence, shall be considered for further evaluation.
a) Must meet all the mandatory requirements as detailed in the tender document.
b) Must quote for all the works as detailed in the tender document.
c) Must be registered by the National Construction Authority (NCA 4 and above).
d) Must provide a bid bond of 2% of the bid amount and bank guarantee from a reputable bank
or insurance company recognised by PPRA (PPOA) and must remain valid for 120 days from
the date of tenderopening.
e) Provide details of similar works completed in the last two years, giving details of the client
and consultant.
f) Provide financial standing ( audited accounts and bank statements) for the last two years.
g) Provide company turnover for the last two years.
1.3 Further, tenders from the following tenderers shall be treated as non responsive
a) A tender from a tenderer whose on-going projects is/are behind schedule
b) A tender from a tenderer who has been served with default notice on on-going projects/s
terminated from a contract.8ik

c)

A tender from a tenderer who has more than four on-going projects.

Completed tender documents (original and 2 copies) should be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope
marked with tender name and reference number and be deposited in the tender box located at the
reception of the County Government of Meru headquarter and addressed to:

So as to be received on or before Friday, 16th September 2016 at 10.00 a.m.
Prices quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and delivery costs must be expressed in Kenya shillings
and shall remain valid for a period of 120 days from the closing date of the tender.
Tenders will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of Tenderers or their representatives
who choose to attend at the County Government of Meru chambers located at the headquarters.
