Trash to Treasure is Saturday, October 22! This event is
region wide and encourages waste reduction by Reusing.
How you can participate:
Collect unwanted household items (gently used

and in working order)
Create a sign to let treasure hunter know that your

items are free to take
Place your unwanted items at the edge of your

property (where treasure hunters can safely access
them without blocking traffic)
Remove any items that haven' t been taken by 4 pm

keep your community clean by removing any
leftover items!

is back with an Aboriginal Drumming Series with Barb
Cyr. Join us for traditional songs and teachings, hands on
drumming on a powwow drum, smudging ceremonies
and make your own traditional aboriginal hand drum!
This is five part series and will include four drumming
sessions on October 5, 12, November 2 and 9 (please note
these dates are different than previously advertised in
the Pennywise) at the Kaslo Family Centre, located in JV
Humphries School, from 3 4:30 pm, as well as a full day
drum making ceremony on November 14, 10:30 am 3
pm (location for this session TBA).
