Week Beginning:
Monday 3rd October
To read a John Connolly novel in
advance of the author's visit in
October. To come up with at least 10
(interesting) questions to ask him.
We started to look at factorising last
week. This week we will complete the
review and cover completing the
square. All students need to be
competent in single and double
bracket factorisation. Students sitting
the higher paper will need to also
have strengths in the completing the
square method.
Complete the GCSE questions on
chemical reactions. From the 3
different levels of difficulty pick the
ones that are appropriate to your level

TASK: Following our visit today, I want you to
write about what we did.

You will use this write up to inform and give
evidence for your next assignment. Think of
it as a diary entry.

Students will be asked to research egg


dishes and milk puddings and list 3 different
options for each. The homework will be
given out on Thursday and is due in the
following Monday.

Since we have already completed all work on


our study of 'Swansong' dancers will have a
mock exam on the content. Revise your
notes on costume, set, lighting and
accompaniment. Mock exam will be next
Thursday 6 October during period 5.

three weeks away from completing this unit.

To complete a development samplechoose a technique to develop further.


You are required to make improvements
to a previously explored technique. This
could be through embellishment with
stitch, mixed media, imagery, paint,
wadding, applique, etc. Use research to
help inspire you and develop samples
fully with one or more added techniques.
You may wish to produce a number of
smaller samples where you have added a
single improvement to analyse and
evaluate.
