PSAK Cricket Tournament

Dear All.
Assalam-o-Alaikum,
I hope you all are fine and enjoying your time in Korea with good weather.
Pakistani Students Association Korea is proud to announce the cricket tournament on 21th June,
2014. Its good to have such a healthy activity in our busy university schedules.
Objective of this event is to meet many of our brothers and come at one platform; however, we
expect a great interaction among Universities and people. We also request people to avoid
abusive language, insulting comments, however, hooting and shooting to motivate your team
and puzzle opponents is welcomed.
Please read the details related to PSAK cricket tournament 2014, also share it with your team
members to avoid any confusion in the field.
A) Tournament rules:
1. Teams are requested to come on time, so we can finish the game on time.
2. There will be total 8 teams. Each team will consist of 11 players. However, if on the
tournament day, each team must have at least 9 players to play that match,
otherwise the opponents will be win that match without play.
Note: Only Pakistani STUDENT players will be allowed to play and you cannot
barrow any player from any other team.
3. Every Inning will consist of 8 over which may be changed according to situation to
finish the tournament within a day. Each Inning should be complete in 35 minutes.
Otherwise there will be penalty.
4. Umpires decision will be final and unchanged.

5. Teams are allowed to bring banners/hoardings associated with their representing

university only. PSAK neither support nor promote any political/non-political
association representing a particular community/group.
6. PSAK organizing committee will provide neutral umpires and scorers.
7. In case of any conflict, only captain is allowed to talk to umpires.
8. Volunteers, organizers, man of the match will be awarded with certificates.
9. At the end their will be prize ceremony.
10. The delay in submission of the registration fee by proposed deadline, in the absence
of any prior communications by the team, will lead to their disqualification and the
next team in waiting list will be requested to submit registration fee.
11. All the team captain's must present the University ID proofs for their team members
to the managing committee failing which will lead to disqualification of respective
player(s).
12. There will be two draws for the Tournament. The first random draw will decide the
opposing teams of the first round and the second draw will decide the semifinal
teams.

B) Match rules:
1. Taped tennis balls will be used in all matches
2. Max over limit of one bowler is 2 over.
3. Umpire decision will be respected. If there is any confusion then only captains
will talk to umpire NOT any player. , Main umpires can consult the tournament
committee to resolve any issues on the field.
4. There will be no field restrictions and each over stepped No ball will be
followed by a Free Hit.
5. All extras will be taken into consideration except Leg bye ad bye while
scoring.
6. Only one bouncers is allowed in an over and above shoulder height balls will
be considered as No Balls so as the waist height full toss balls.
7. Each team should confirm their presence 30 minutes prior to their match.
8. In-Case of a tie at the end of a regular match, there will be overtime for the
super over.
9. Each participating team will receive a refreshment package and T-shirts
10. There is awards for winning team, best bowler and best batsman
11. Doubtful bowling action will be resolved by organizing committee.
12. PSAK Cricket Organizing Committee reserves the right to change the Terms
and Conditions of the Tournament. Decision of the management will be
considered final.

C) Umpires:
Neutral Umpires will be captain of each team. So all the captains, please do visit ICC website to
learn exact rules ;-)

Registration
1. 8 teams shall be enrolled on the first come first served basis.
2. Each team consist of 11 players (1 extra player), so registration fee is
110,000KRW per team (Account Number : 620-231978-408, Bank: KEB(Korea
Exchange Bank) Account Holder: Mustafa Ghulam)
3. Last date for Registration: 14th June, 2014
4. Registration form should be sent to the email address mentioned below.
5. Entry fee should be deposited after receiving the confirmation email from
organizing committee of PSAK. Account details will be sent in the confirmation
email.
6. Registered teams for the tournament have to agree to abide the rules set by the
PSAK.
